After updating to Steam Link firmware 891 895 the Steam Controller does not work in Moonlight at all. Once Moonlight is launched it is completely unresponsive to all key presses on the Steam Controller. The only way to exit is to power off the Steam Link

The controller works fine navigating the steam link menu and when connecting to a Steam host.

I was using 6.0 and updated to 6.1 but the issue persists.

edit: Sorry I didn't realise I was set to use Beta on the Steam Link (I don't remember changing to that) so I was actually on 895. After changing back to public build 891 it's working.

I guess this is a heads up the next release might have issues if they don't fix it in the Beta. Sorry again.

The next Steam Link beta firmware will have a fix for this.

It's an issue steam need to fix but as I already started this ticket I may as well keep it updated.
The steam link updated to 897 today stating the issue had been fixed but it's not fully fixed.
Now when launching moonlight only the RT/LT and right trackpad work. Basically just mouse emulation. After starting a stream everything works as normal. When exiting the stream back to the Moonlight UI, it goes back to just the 3 buttons above working. If I hold the steam button down and power off the controller while in the moonlight UI then turn it on again, everything works properly. But after exiting moonlight and starting it again, same issue as above. I've mentioned it in the steam link forum thread for the 897 firmware.

Also the PS5 Dualsense controller has this issue.

thanks for the tip of turning it off and on again (I’m detaching & detaching wire). That works.

Also confirming, experiencing this issue with an Xbox 360 controller connected via Bluetooth on release build 897 - updated my steam link to beta build 902 and the issue was resolved.
