What does my contract phase A, B or C mean?

Phase A (duration: 52 weeks worked)

Phase A can last a maximum of 52 worked weeks. In this phase, every week worked counts towards the accrual of 52 weeks. It does not matter how many hours you work in a week. In the event of an interruption of 6 months or longer, the count starts again. In phase A there is no limit to the number of employment contracts you may receive.

Continued payment of wages

In phase A we work with employment contracts with or without an obligation to continue paying wages. With an employment contract without an obligation to continue paying wages, you are only entitled to wages for the hours worked. You can see in your employment contract what applies to you. You can always find your employment contract in your online account under 'documents'.

Temporary employment clause

In phase A we work with employment contracts with temporary employment clauses as standard. An employment contract with temporary employment clause ends by operation of law (automatically) when:

the client terminates the assignment;
the temporary worker terminates the assignment.

Payroll tax reduction; with or without discount. What is the difference?

When you are employed by a company, you pay taxes on the wages you receive. This is also called payroll tax. The payroll tax is calculated based on several aspects; the hourly wage, the number of hours you work and your age. The more you earn, the more payroll tax you end up paying. Your employer does take into account the general tax credit and employment tax credit. These deductions fall under the wage tax credit. By applying the wage tax credit, you receive a discount on the payroll taxes you pay. As a result, you pay less tax on your wages and end up keeping more.

If you have multiple employers, it is important to remember that you can only apply the wage tax credit with one employer. This is best done with the employer where you work and earn the most. Do you work for several employers in a certain period and do you have the wage tax rebate applied to all of them? Then you will have to pay this back when you file your tax return. If you have paid too much payroll tax because you don't have it turned on anywhere, then of course you will also get this money back when you file your tax return!

When is my salary paid?

We use different payout frequencies, with payment taking place on Thursdays as standard. Do you get paid weekly? Then you will receive a salary every Thursday. Do you get paid every 4 weeks? You will also receive your salary on a Thursday.

The 4-weekly payment moments of 2025:

If a holiday falls on a Thursday, we will always bring the payment forward. The time at which the salary is credited to your account depends on the bank you are with. Your salary is always transferred from our ABN-AMRO account.

What does your placement confirmation say?

Placement confirmation

Your placement confirmation contains the employment conditions that we adopt from your place of work. These employment conditions consist of 10 elements, also known as the hirer's remuneration. As a temporary worker you are covered by the ABU Collective Labor Agreement, which is a collective labor agreement for temporary workers. You can always find the most recent version of the ABU Collective Labor Agreement in your online account, but also via https://www.abu.nl/cao/cao-voor-uitzendkrachten/. The hirer's remuneration (art. 16) is a term that appears in the ABU Collective Labor Agreement and is aimed at ensuring that you as a temporary worker are rewarded the same as the employees who are themselves employed by a client.

The hirer's remuneration consists of the following ten elements:

Hourly wage
Possible reduction of working hours (adv)
Surcharges
Initial pay increase
Cost reimbursements
Periodic increases
Reimbursement of travel hours and/or travel time
One-time benefits
Work from home allowances
End-of-year bonus

We adopt these ten elements from your client's collective labor agreement or own remuneration scheme and are described in the placement confirmation that you receive per client.
