Michael Hill
I am an instructor of writing, a researcher of Basic Writing, and a theorist of resistant voices in just, democratic societies. I teach full time at Henry Ford (Community) College, where I co-direct our Center for Teaching Excellence and Innovation. I received my Ph.D in the Philosophy of Education from The University of Toledo. I am on the executive board of the Council on Basic Writing, a standing group within NCTE. When I'm not writing, thinking, or teaching within higher education, I am writing, thinking and teaching at home with my three children. Finally, I am the secretary and a proud member of AFT Local 1650. (Note: I do not update publications or presentations on this site, but my CV provides a pretty good overview of my work.)
