Engaged Learning refers to the curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular experiences provided to enhance students' academic, personal, and professional development outside of the classroom.
First-Year Engagement
The transition from high school to college can be daunting, especially at a large school like Penn State. Getting involved in your first year can help facilitate that transition while you build your community. The HHD Passport for Success is designed to help first-year students engage with college and campus resources as well as other HHD students.
Global Engagement
Immersive experiences abroad, whether for course credit or service, provide an opportunity for students to expand their global perspective and appreciation of cultural differences.
