Two types of underspecification are presented: (1) multiple adjectival suffixes : single pronoun, (2) multiple verbal (participial) suffixes : single pronoun. The author argues that in some cases suffixes that are added to the verbal (participial) stem and suffixes that are added to the adjectival stem are the same in morhosyntactic terms. The main assumption is that the difference between participles and adjectives lies in the stem: while adjectives have adjectival stem, participles have verbal stem. Different stems are crucial for their further syntactical behavior.

The aim of this paper is to (i) determine the main means of satisfying EPP in Serbian, (ii) place Serbian language in Alexiadou and Anagnostopoulou 1998 typology, (iii) place Serbian language in Fukuda et al. 2016 typology, (iv) present new data that supports an idea that Serbian has TP and DP projections. Furthermore, the author argues that there is a possibility that full pro-drop languages are not a coherent group, as it has been observed for partial pro-drop languages (Alexiadou and Carvalho 2017). Further partition is caused by word-orders, both dominant and possible.

Research results provide insight into: (a) the hierarchical organization of the lexemes from the center to the periphery of the semantic field, (b) the identification of the factors that affect such an organization, (c) the determination of the semantic components that contain the semantic structure of each lexeme, (d) the unequal presence of the components in all uses of the lexeme in context, (e) the unequal importance of components, (f) the semantic closeness of the lexemes caused by the closeness of their semantic structure, (g) the necessity of using componential analysis in semantic research of adjective lexemes. In the two conducted surveys, 96 respondents answered various questions to determine prototypical lexemes. After that, by analyzing the dictionary definitions and examples in the electronic corpus of the Serbian language, there were defined several diagnostic features that reflect the relevant properties of the observed lexemes and explain the differences in the meaning of the same lexeme used in different contexts, thus entering the domain of pragmatics.

In focus are coordinate copulative and coordinate adversative sentences in which Pluperfect has a predicate function. Special attention is devoted to the uses of tenses and Aktionsart in coordinate sentences. The author analyses the functions of the Pluperfect in this type of sentences as well as some of the regularities that can be considered as a feature of coordinate structures.
