Dr. Rajendra Baikady is a Social Work educator and researcher. He is the winner of Golda Meir Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel [2019-2020] and Confucius Studies Understanding China Fellowship [Post-Doctoral Research] at Shandong University Peoples Republic of China [2018-2019]. Baikady was one among the 20 selected candidates for the Short Term Research Award [STRA] by the Ministry of Education, Government of Taiwan and conducted research at National Chengchi University Taiwan during June- July 2018. Dr. Baikady was awarded the prestigious INLAKS foundation Research Travel Grant 2015 and Indian Council of Social Science Research, Collect Data Abroad Scholarship- 2015 for conducting his research at Shandong University, China. Dr. Baikady have been awarded URC Special Post-Doctoral Fellowship at University of Johannesburg South Africa for the year 20202022. His most recent books [co-edited] are- Social Welfare Policies and Programmes in South Asia [Routledge, New York], Building Sustainable Communities-Civil Society Response in South Asia [Palgrave Macmillan, Singapore], The Palgrave Handbook of Global Social Work Education [Palgrave Macmillan, New York], and Social Welfare in India and China- A Comparative Perspective [Palgrave Macmillan, Singapore]. His forth coming titles are ' Social Work Education in India and China- A Comparison [ Routledge, New York, Doctoral Project], Routledge International Handbook of Field Work Education in Social Work [Routledge, New York], Routledge International Handbook of Social Work Field Education in Global South [Routledge, New York] and Routledge International Handbook of Poverty in the Global South [Routledge, New York]. He is co-editing the Journal Special issue of 'Social Work and Society (to be published in 2020) and also has on-going international collaboration with researchers from China, Israel, Japan, Slovenia and South Africa. Presently he is at Hebrew University of Jerusalem Israel and conducting research under the supervision of Prof John Gal. his on-going projects are Social Work Education in Global South- Responding to Social Realities [Springer, Singapore], Poverty, (in) Equality and Social Protection in South Asia [Routledge, New York], Oxford Handbook of Power, Politics and Social Work [Oxford University Press, New York] and 'The Palgrave Handbook of Global Social problems'[Major reference work, Palgrave Macmillan UK]. Dr. Baikady also has a special appointment in the Department of Social Work, University of Johannesburg, South Africa as Senior Research Associate[SRA].
