This study was conducted to investigate the views of faculty members of dental schools towards patient-centred education in dentistry. Methods: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, the views of 325 professors of all dental schools in Iran in 2020 were reviewed. The research instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire containing the dimensions and components of patient-centred dental education. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and Friedman test, Smart PLS application with confirmatory factor analysis were used to analyse the data. Such inflows will clearly place local institutions on par with many of their international counterparts. This paper explores the significance of higher education’s internationalization with regard to leadership competencies and systems management. The objective is to examine a wide range of priorities that qualify a successful leader as well as an effective ‘systems profile’ for the internationalization of higher education and its profile on the internationalization of Iranian higher education. The objective of this study is to explore how at the 16 branches of Islamic Azad University, Tehr... more The objective of this study is to explore how at the 16 branches of Islamic Azad University, Tehran province, Iran, leadership styles (the independent variable) influence employee job satisfaction (the dependent variable. Using random sampling, the researcher distributed 400 questionnaires, 386 of which were completed. This study concentrates only on non-teaching staff. The survey was administered between October and December, 2009. The researcher found that the dominant leadership styles were transformational and transactional and employees were moderately satisfied with their job. The results show that different leadership style factors will have different impacts on employee job satisfaction components. Individualized consideration and laissez-faire are strong predictors of all the job satisfaction factors.

The purpose of this paper is to identify the challenges confronting IAU academic leaders in managerial positions. Design/methodology/approach – In this qualitative study, questionnaires containing open-ended questions were sent to academic leaders in managerial positions at IAU branches in Iran and the collected data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Findings – The results revealed that the main challenges were categorized into two themes: internal and external environmental factors. Internal challenges were sub-categorized into administration and managerial affairs, financial issues, organizational culture, and students’ affairs.
