Maria Raviljevna Nenarokova (born 14.04.1963 in Moscow)

Education
Studied at the Philological faculty of the Moscow State University in 1980-1985. Specialized in the history of the Germanic languages.
In 1993-1996 was a post-graduate student at the Institute of World Literature. The thesis (Bede’s Vita S. Cuthberti and the Anglo-Latin Hagiography) was completed and defended in 1996.
The “second” PhD “The Carolingian Ecloga: theory and history of the genre” is defended in 2012.
Spheres of interest/ Research interests/Areas of specialization/: history of Medieval Culture (especially, literature, music, art and architecture), Medieval Latin literature, theology, Medieval education; English, Danish, Russian Literature of Romanticism; Russian Orthodox Spirituality, Russian Culture of the XIXth century; the language of flowers.
Professional Experience
Since 1998 Senior Researcher in the Department of European Literatures and Comparative History of Literatures at the Gorky Institute of World Literature; the Department Secretary of the Gorky Institute (2010-2017).
Within the above Institute participant of various scientific projects, both as a Head of the Project (“The Latin Literature of the Ottonian Era”) and/or a Researcher (“The Intellectual traditions of the Late Antiquity and European Middle Ages”, “Translation and Adaptation in the Literatures of the Middle Ages and Renaissance”, ”Birds and Animals in the Medieval Literatures”, projects on Russian Romanticism: “The notion of the Way in the Literature of Romanticism”, “Life and Death in the Literature of Romanticism”, “Russian Romanticism in the Context of World Literature”, “Russian History as a Topic of Literature of Romanticism”).
Since January 1997, permanent job as researcher at the Gorky Institute of World Literature (department of the Academy of sciences of Russia, Moscow). Since December, 2016, Leading Researcher.
Awards: Golden Medal and Diploma di merito-2016 of the European Scientific-Industrial Chamber for exceptional professional achievements
1989-1993, lecturer in English at the Moscow State University, the Computer Academy, and the Pedagogical College); lecturer on the History of English Literature at the Pedagogical College, and the Orthodox Theological Institute (now - University)).
2015-2018, supervisor of the student scientific projects at the Institute of Foreign Languages (Peoples’Friendship University of Russia).
2016: European Union; European Scientific-Industrial Chamber, Diploma di Merito, golden medal for exceptional professional acjevements
2018, membership in the Medieval Academy of America.
2021: Honorary Educator of Russian Rederation

Ненарокова Мария Равильевна
родилась 14.04.1963 в г.Москве. В 1980-1985 гг. училась на романно-германском отделении филологического факультета МГУ им М.В.Ломоносова. В 1993 г. поступила в очную аспирантуру ИМЛИ РАН, где в 1996 г. защитила кандидатскую диссертацию на тему «"Житие св. Катберта" Досточтимого Беды как памятник англо-латинской агиографии VII—VIII вв.». В декабре 2012 г. в ИМЛИ защитила докторскую диссертацию на тему «Каролингская эклога: теория и история жанра». С 1997 г. по настоящее время работает в отделе классических литератур Запада и сравнительного литературоведения. Ведущий научный сотрудник. Ученый секретарь отдела (2010-2017).
Награды:диплом и Европейская медаль за выдающиеся достижения в профессиональной деятельности (Diploma di Merito за 2016 год по науке, культуре и образованию).
2021: звание "Почетный работник сферы образования РФ"
2018 - член Американского общества медиевистов (The Medieval Academy of America)
