Understanding the mechanisms of cellular differentiation is challenging because differentiation i... more Understanding the mechanisms of cellular differentiation is challenging because differentiation is initiated by signaling pathways that drive temporally dynamic processes, which are difficult to analyze in vivo. We establish a new tool, Timer of cell kinetics and activity (Tocky; or toki [time in Japanese]). Tocky uses the fluorescent Timer protein, which spontaneously shifts its emission spectrum from blue to red, in combination with computer algorithms to reveal the dynamics of differentiation in vivo. Using a transcriptional target of T cell receptor (TCR) signaling, we establish -Tocky to follow downstream effects of TCR signaling. -Tocky reveals the temporal sequence of events during regulatory T cell (Treg) differentiation and shows that persistent TCR signals occur during Treg generation. "Este Trabajo Fin de Máster constituye el proyecto final de los estudios del Máster en Formación ... more "Este Trabajo Fin de Máster constituye el proyecto final de los estudios del Máster en Formación de Profesores de Español (especialidad Enseñanza de Español como Lengua Extranjera) organizado por la Universidad de Alcalá. Presenta un proyecto de investigación-acción en el que se ha aplicado la ludificación a varias asignaturas de comunicación oral de español como lengua extranjera en una universidad japonesa. Se trata de una propuesta metodológica que combina la ludificación con la enseñanza mixta presencial-virtual (blended learning) para intentar trasladar a un contexto no lúdico, como es el del aprendizaje de español en la enseñanza superior, las características de los juegos facilitadoras de los procesos de aprendizaje.
Para ello se ha diseñado y creado un sistema prototipo en forma de página web interactiva y personalizada, para ser usado durante un cuatrimestre en la Universidad de Estudios Extranjeros de Kobe en varias asignaturas del departamento de Estudios Hispánicos. El estudio de la interacción de los alumnos con el sistema y de los resultados derivados, sirve así para ampliar el conocimiento que se tiene hasta el momento de la ludificación y de las posibilidades de su aplicación a la enseñanza de idiomas. El análisis exploratorio realizado ha revelado efectos positivos de la propuesta ludificadora en la motivación de los alumnos por aprender español, en la cantidad de exposición de los mismos al español oral, en el desarrollo de su autonomía de aprendizaje y la adquisición de competencias digitales, entre otros. Asimismo, el estudio ha permitido detectar aspectos mejorables del diseño del sistema de ludificación cuya implementación prevemos que permitiría incrementar sus efectos positivos.
Este trabajo de fin de máster presenta, por tanto, un modelo inicial de aplicación de la ludificación en un contexto educativo concreto que puede servir de referencia para el diseño de futuras propuestas."

En esta experiencia piloto hemos aplicado la ludificación (‘gamification’), entendida como la aplicación de elementos del diseño de juegos a entornos no lúdicos, a todo un cuatrimestre. Se ha empleado una plataforma de internet creada expresamente para estudiar el efecto de algunos de estos elementos en la motivación y la conducta de los alumnos dentro y fuera del aula."
