Fix a finite graph H, and suppose one must remove ε n edges from G to make it H-minor free (for some small constant ε > 0). We give an n^1/2+o(1)-time randomized procedure that, with high probability, finds an H-minor in such a graph. As an application, suppose one must remove ε n edges from a bounded degree graph G to make it planar. This result implies an algorithm, with the same running time, that produces a K_3,3 or K_5 minor in G. No prior sublinear time bound was known for this problem. By the graph minor theorem, we get an analogous result for any minor-closed property. Up to n^o(1) factors, this resolves a conjecture of Benjamini-Schramm-Shapira (STOC 2008) on the existence of one-sided property testers for minor-closed properties. Furthermore, our algorithm is nearly optimal, by an Ω(√(n)) lower bound of Czumaj et al (RSA 2014). Prior to this work, the only graphs H for which non-trivial one-sided property tes...

Fix some minor-closed property P (such as planarity). We say thatG is ε-far fromP if one has to remove εdn edges tomake it haveP. The problem of property testing P was introduced in the seminal work of Benjamini-Schramm-Shapira (STOC 2008) that gave a tester with query complexity triply exponential in ε−1. Levi-Ron (TALG 2015) have given the best tester to date, with a quasipolynomial (in ε−1) query complexity. It is an open problem to get property testers whose query complexity is poly(dε−1), even for planarity. In this paper, we resolve this open question. For any minorclosed property, we give a testerwith query complexityd ·poly(ε−1). The previous line of work on (independent of n, two-sided) testers is primarily combinatorial. Our work, on the other hand, employs techniques from spectral graph theory. This paper is a continuation of recent work of the authors (FOCS 2018) analyzing random walk algorithms that nd forbidden mi...

To establish the etiology of recent out break of polyarthritis which occurred in Kanvari village ... more To establish the etiology of recent out break of polyarthritis which occurred in Kanvari village of Churu district of Rajasthan in August, 1999. Forty eight patients of polyarthritis were studied by Hb, TDLC, ESR, CRP, throat swab Gram's stain and culture, blood culture, ASO titer, rheumatoid factor, Rose Bengal plate agglutination test, standard tube agglutination test for brucellosis, widal test, urine examination, X-ray chest, ECG and X-ray of the affected joint. Forty eight patients presented with acute polyarthritis with low grade fever of 1-2 week duration. Most common joint involved was sacroiliac joint (52.08%). Most of patients had multiple joint involvement (93.75%). The Rose Bengal plate agglutination test and standard tube agglutination test for brucella were positive in high titres in 44 (91.60%) patients. All the patients were treated with therapy for brucellosis and followed up for 12 weeks and responded well without complications. In case of polyarthritis possibi...
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) can affect the menstruation, fertility, and pregnancy outcomes... more Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) can affect the menstruation, fertility, and pregnancy outcomes of the affected subjects. There is very little data on this aspect of the disease in Indian patients. Our aim was to study the menstrual, fertility, and pregnancy outcomes in these patients in comparison with patients of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and also to study the effect of cyclophosphamide therapy on menstrual cycles in patients with SLE. Four hundred and twenty patients of SLE (210) and RA (210) were interviewed using a standard questionnaire and available medical records used. After disease-onset, the chances of adverse pregnancy outcomes were significantly more in patients with SLE compared to RA [OR = 5.17 (2.13-12.52); p ≤ 0.001]. Compared to the National average in India, the average number of living children is lesser in patients with RA (2.39 ± 1.39, p = 0.002), but more so in patients with SLE (1.44 ± 1.35, p = 0.001). A younger age at diagnosis and cyclophosphamide therapy was found to be independently associated with menstrual irregularities after disease-onset. We conclude that pregnancy outcome in patients with SLE in India is worse in comparison to patients with RA. Average family size of patients with SLE and RA is less when compared to National average in India. Patients with SLE are more prone for menstrual irregularities, especially those who receive cyclophosphamide treatment.

This report describes the clinical characteristics of these patients along with the different therapeutic measures used and their response. Adult onset Still's disease should be considered in the differential diagnosis of 'pyrexia of unknown origin'.

We describe a patient who developed a discharging sinus at the tip of the coccyx. Extensive examination revealed isolated tuberculosis of the coccyx. Although rare, the condition should be suspected in patients presenting with a chronic sinus in the sacrococcygeal area and a lytic lesion in the coccyx on CT or MRI, particularly in the developing world.

It integrates several state-of-the-art mapping and synthesis tools into an automated tool flow. This flow takes as input a throughput constrained application, modeled with a synchronous dataflow graph, a C-based implementation for each actor in the graph, and a template based architecture description. Using these inputs, the tool flow generates an MPSoC platform tailored to the application ...
