Several studies have proposed adaptive algorithm road traffic, which concentrates on determining green light length and sequence of the phases for each cycle in accordance with the real time traffic detected, and in order to minimize the waiting time at the intersection, these methods have chosen to give priority to the largest queue. In this paper we propose adaptive traffic light control method for an isolated intersection that considers a number of traffic factors such as traffic volume, waiting time, etc. In this method we give priority to the shortest queue and we show that this method gives an optimal waiting time.

The Software Defined Network (SDN) which is an emerging network paradigm that separates control logic from the network device; and brings flexibility and simplicity of network management; has proven extremely useful to cope with WSN defies and to improve its performance. The SDN-based WSN (SDWSNs) have been introduced to reorganize the WSN functionalities according to the SDN model. This paper highlights the importance of adopting SDN in WSN networks, presents the common SDWSN architecture, reviews several contributions on SDWSN architectures and functionalities, analyzes and compares them with focus on aims, architecture design and employed features to ensure improved WSN.

Existing studies based on the largest queue as the essential criteria for determining the sequence of phases. We propose here a method that scheduling the phases of a cycle in real time, which giving priority to the phases with the shortest queue. Our simulation shows that our solution reduces waiting time compared to the method that gives priority to larger queue.

We present the architecture of a wireless network used to track variations in adjacent intersections. Our algorithm exploits the collected data to determine the sequence of the green lights based on three objectives: (i) reduce the length of queues in the intersection, (ii) prioritize sending vehicle flows to intersections with lower traffic density than the most congested, (iii) synchronize traffic signals between adjacent intersections to create green waves. Traffic simulations have been simulated by the SUMO traffic simulator, they show that our solution manages to react to traffic change and reduce waiting time compared to isolated control strategies.

This work introduces an algorithm implementing designed key performance indicators for automatic learning capacity checking. The algorithm simulates the supervised environment to stimulate the tested auto-adaptive machine and then study its adaption capacity based on indicators statistically designed.

Ehealth is a new IoT ecosystem where several microcomputer with health detection capabilities can diagnose the state of health of a patient, to deduce if his condition is stable or if a need for medical intervention very fast is obligatory, to prevent against any threat that can make us lose our patient. In this article we distinguish the different Ehealth micro-computer networks that can allow access at the collected health information of the patient to the Internet for processing, and we focus especially on WWANs that allow to send signals over a long distance and led to cover a large geographic area.

The use of wireless sensor networks (WSN) in this type of applications allows having an almost real-time status of the supervised area by collecting relevant information and thus assisting in the process of rapid response to the disaster. In such cases, the information availability, reliability, security and delay of its delivery are critical to the success of rescue operations. In this paper we design a new Framework Ad-M-QoS-DS (Adaptive Management of QoS in different situations) that permits an adaptive management according to the QoS requirements of each situation in the supervised area by grouping multiple modules and parameters. Next, we have proposed a Sensor Security Module (SSM) for our Framework to dispute sensor security challenges and describe the role of its components. A set of these nodes make one cluster. This mechanism is called clustering. The main aim of clustering is dividing network into many groups in order to have a good utilization, efficient management of resources and prolonging network lifetime. Each group is organized hierarchically and managed by a particular node. This manager node is responsible of routing data packets from other groups and also from and between nodes inside its own group.

The consequences of this congestion can be seen through a difficult movement of vehicles, an increase in CO2 emissions, increasing energy consumption, and stress for drivers. Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) based on wireless sensor networks (WSN) have emerged with new solutions and application potentials in the context of the Intelligent city.
