An attempt to evaluate the influence of magnetic flux tube oscillation on the surge plasma was made.

Better determined properties would inspire theoreticians to construct comprehensive models to express real physical structure. In this study two criteria have been considered. These are: (1) Daily total corrected area of sunspot groups within specified latitude belts. (2) Group fragmentation index, which shows average area per umbral piece. The first one aims to show possible accumulation of activity at certain belts. Mean latitude distribution does not reflect physical properties of the cycle. The second one aims to light on whether physical character of magnetic activity depends on the phase of cycle or not. Relative number techniques fail to give details of such behaviors. It is expected that there can be two or more peaks in the distribution of real spot areas in latitude scale. These criteria may also help to determine similar independent events, which Gnevyshev (1967) has discussed.

In these expeditions some five experiments were carried out associated with the white-light inner and outer corona, coronal polarization and high resolution imaging of helmety streamers. Here

Giriş yarığı kuzey-güney doğrultusunda disk kenarından merkezine doğru 12 farklı pozisyonunda konumlandırılarak elde edilen 10 Å genişliğindeki bu spektrumlar yardımıyla, kara akım, düz alan ve süreklilik düzeltmeleri yapılarak spektral bölge şiddet ortalamalarına göre normalize edilmeleri sonrasında; spektral sürekliliklerinin, seçilen FeI absorbsiyon çizgi profillerinin merkezî şiddetlerinin, dalgaboyu kaymalarının ve bu çizgilerin asimetrilerini temsilen bisektörlerinin merkez-kenar değişimleri incelenmiştir.

The eruption started as expansion of the upper part of a filament channel crossing the equator. Several arches of erupting prominence material have been registered in more than 31 frames. All the frames have been processed and

Both stations were very close to the center line. We, both Istanbul University Observatory and Abastumani Astrophysical Observatorymembers, have performed total fourteen experiments. These are related to the following topics: white light corona, chromospheric structures, coronal polar plumes; solar diameter measurements and photoelectric polarimetric measurements. Some preliminary results about white light polarisation and polar plume observations are presented in these Proceedings. Other reductions are still proceeding.
