A great number of researchers and technology companies have been working on developing exoskeleton systems that augment human mobility to achieve several benefits in human life. This study includes current studies of passive exoskeletons which are specifically tested. The effects of passive exoskeleton systems reducing the load on the spine have been investigated for various lifting positions. In addition, reducing the biomechanical loads affecting the user's joints, muscles and soft tissues have been mentioned. In the conclusions section, the importance of researchers from the different branches to work on exoskeleton technology is emphasized.

It is very difficult getting rounded surfaces which are desired where hole machining process (turning, honing, reaming and burnishing). In this study, surface characterizations of getting surface with burnishing and other machining process was evaluated. Especially, inner surface of hole was examined and machining process compared. In the present work, Al 6061 aluminum alloy is selected as work piece material. The experimental results showed that burnishing process must be used where roundness is important. In addition, advantage of burnishing process for Al 6061 aluminum alloy material come out when comparing hardness of hole surface.

It is known that 26% of the energy consumed worldwide consists of natural gas. Since it is used so commonly, there are lots of parameters related to the junction process of polyethylene based pipes and fitting members used in natural gas transfer. There is no doubt that inappropriate choices of these parameters will cause substantial damages of no return. In this study, natural gas pipes (Pe 80 and Pe 100) are joined by hot butt-welding and some tests are performed in accordance with the parameters and conditions determined by standards. In light of data collected, it is analyzed if hot butt-welding has the necessary characteristics to meet the standards for plastic pipe junction. The researches revealed that hot butt-welding method is a valid method for plastic pipe junction, and cheaper than other methods used. Also, during the experimental studies, changes in welding quality are observed depending on the pipe density.

In this study, titanium carbide nanoparticles (TiC) were coated on the surface of X40CrMoV51 (H13... more In this study, titanium carbide nanoparticles (TiC) were coated on the surface of X40CrMoV51 (H13) hot work tool steel by laser coating method. Two stage laser cladding method was employed for coating processes. In the first stage, TiC powders were mixed in the phonelic resin and precoated at 50 μm thickness on the surface of steel substrate under vacuum. In the second stage, laser was directed to the surface and then hard coating layers were obtained on the steel surfaces. A CO2 laser with 2000 W power was operated at continuous-wave mode in the experiments. All laser cladding processes were performed under N2 atmosphere and various laser powers were selected to show the effect of laser power on the quality of coated steel surfaces. The morphology and phase structures were examined by scanning electron microscopy, Xray spectroscopy and optic microscope, respectively. Surface finishing processes such as drilling, turning, reaming, grinding, honing and roller burni... more Surface finishing processes such as drilling, turning, reaming, grinding, honing and roller burnishing etc. are widely used in manufacturing as hole surface finishing process. In addition to the characteristics of hole such as the surface roughness, the surface hardness and the wear resistance, the circularity and cylindricality of hole are also effective on the performance of hole. In this paper, it is presented that different hole surface finishing processes were applied to the samples made of pure copper. As a result of all the measurements and assessments, the results of the study show that the roller burnishing method gives the best results in terms of mechanical, metallurgical properties and hole surface quality of the material.

Most of these methods result in loss of superior properties of the stainless steel material and makes it to act like other ordinary materials within the machined zones. The common use of natural gas arouses interest about gas transfer and joining of pipes in order to install gas pipe lines. In this study, two methods to join PE plastic pipes are compared: electro-melting welding and hot element (butt) welding methods. Tests are applied in order to measure the leaktightness and strength properties of the joined pipes in ambient conditions similar to actual working conditions. Results of the standardized tests are compared. Consequently, electro-melting welding is found to be the ideal method for pipes of certain diameters. However, for main transfer line pipes (of larger diameters), hot butt welding gave more successful results.

Because of its aesthetic view in architectures, resistance against corrosion and chemicals, it became as the most preferred material. Today several methods for machining of AISI 304 stainless steel are available. Most of these methods result in loss of superior properties of the stainless steel material and makes it to act like other ordinary materials within the machined zones. In this study, specimens taken from the AISI 304 material are cut by the cutting methods which are commonly used in machining. The common use of natural gas arouses interest about gas transfer and joining of pipes in order to install gas pipe lines. In this study, two methods to join PE plastic pipes are compared: electro-melting welding and hot element (butt) welding methods. Tests are applied in order to measure the leaktightness and strength properties of the joined pipes in ambient conditions similar to actual working conditions. Results of the standardized tests are compared. Consequently, electro-melting welding is found to be the ideal method for pipes of certain diameters. However, for main transfer line pipes (of larger diameters), hot butt welding gave more successful results.

Starting materials were mixed according to the reaction stoichiometry and reduction processes were performed in a planetary ball mill under Argon gas atmosphere. Phase and morphology structure of particles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (TEM/EDX) and the specific surface area was measured by Brunauer-Emmet-Teller (BET) theory. The effect of milling period and molar ratios of starting powders were investigated in detail. Results showed that W 2 B nanocrystals were obtained successfully without different tungsten compounds after 30 h milling and purification in 2 M HCl solution.
