This study examines the effectiveness of television in sensitisation against human trafficking in Abuja with special focus on Nigeria Television Authority (NTA, whereas the objective scope of the study was to: identify major causes of human trafficking in Abuja, identify factors influencing the Effectiveness of NTA Abuja's Human Trafficking Sensitisation Campaigns and examine the role of NTA Abuja in Facilitating community engagement against human trafficking. The study adopted a mixed-methods research design, combining both quantitative and qualitative approaches to comprehensively assess the effectiveness of television in sensitizing the Abuja population against human trafficking. A total of four hundred (400) questionnaire was distributed across the study area and only 374 (93.5%) were properly filled and returned. The return rate was highly commendable and adds value to the degree of quality of the data generated for the study, whereas 26 (6.5%) questionnaire that were neither returned nor properly filled were disregarded. The data collected was analysed using descriptive statistics such as tables, frequencies, and means. Based on the analysis of the data, a number of findings were made: Findings of the study reveal that the major causes of human trafficking in Abuja are: Conflict and instability, Corruption and Weak Law Enforcement, Migration and Displacement, Lack of Effective Social Support Systems, Poverty and Economic Vulnerability, Gender inequality and Lack of Education. The study also revealed that the factors influencing the Effectiveness of NTA Abuja's Human Trafficking Sensitisation Campaigns include: Government and Policy Support, Message Content and Design, Credibility and Trustworthiness, Community Engagement Strategies, Target Audience Understanding, Media Reach and Frequency, Feedback Mechanisms, Linguistic and Cultural Considerations, Use of Technology and Multi-Channel Approach. The study found that NTA Abuja plays significant role in Facilitating community engagement against human trafficking through: Raising Awareness, Disseminating information, Humanizing the Issue, Providing, Platform for Experts and Advocates, Mobilizing Community action, Promoting legal literacy, Fostering dialogue and Discussion as well as Celebrating Success Stories. The study concludes that the television has significant a role sensitisation against human trafficking in Abuja. The study recommends among other things that there should be collaboration with governmental and non-governmental entities to address conflict and instability, promoting peace-building initiatives that reduce vulnerability to trafficking.

This paper examines the Causes of Depletion of Environmental Resources. It focuses on the meaning of environmental resources, meaning of depletion of environmental resources, causes of depletion of environmental resources and solutions of depletion environmental resources. The paper concludes that the over-use of environmental resources is a matter of serious concern worldwide, therefore, all humans on earth must step forward to stop this manace of overuse of environmental resources in order to avoid their depletion. This will go a long way to save our environmental resources from depletion thereby making our mother earth a beautiful habitable place.
