Starting from this premise, the present study aims to study the perception of visitors and employees of Darvas-La Roche Museum House (Romania) in relation to the air quality in the exhibition spaces. Their opinions were analyzed based on a questionnaire comprising 11 items aimed at understanding the influence of the indoor environment on the health of individuals, the degree of disturbance induced by the indoor air, if they experienced symptoms of illness after visiting the museum, etc. The obtained data were analyzed statistically in the SPSS 28 program, using tests such as coefficient, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and model summary, in order to obtain correlations between the sets of variables. The results obtained indicate that the majority of respondents perceived the indoor air quality as good, but th...

University championships have a sustainable character, with several tournaments being planned over time, receiving increased interest from all stakeholders. Methods: This research aimed to describe aspects regarding the organization and planning of sports events, the academic and professional profiles of student-athletes and the implications of their participation in championships. We used two research methods: one based on geography, and another based on a sociological survey of 139 dual-career students participating in the national university championship of men’s football and women’s volleyball organized by the University of Oradea (Romania). Results: The research results show that academic studies provide professional competencies, while participation in sports events contributes to students’ personal and professional development. Six proxy indicators of the above-mentioned factors were selected as variables, namely, welfare (real GDP per capita, life expectancy, consumer price index), infrastructure (passenger transportation volume), security (total recorded crimes), and the environment (CO2 emissions). We used a time series-univariate ARIMA model to forecast the inbound tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and applied the ARDL model to assess the impact of lagged real GDP per capita on inbound tourism in both the short and long terms. The results of our research show that security and welfare significantly affect the inflow of foreign tourists in the country, along with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, the effects of which are expected to persist beyond 2026.

In order to counteract these processes and keep the textile exhibits in good condition for as long as possible, both reactive and preventive interventions on them are necessary. Based on these ideas, the present study aims to test a natural and non-invasive method of cleaning historic textiles, which includes the use of a natural substance with a known antifungal effect (being traditionally used in various rural communities)—lye. The design of the study was aimed at examining a traditional women’s shirt that is aged between 80–100 years, using artificial intelligence techniques for Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) imagery analysis and X-ray powder diffraction technique in order to achieve a complex and accurate investigation and monitoring of the object’s realities....

The literature shows a large number of specialists in interdisciplinary studies on sport, geography, and other scientific fields as economics, medicine, sociology, tourism etc. Through this study we aimed to present a series of conceptual and methodological arguments specific for geography and useful in spatial analysis of sport, all supported by highlighting some representative papers in this interdisciplinary research field direction. All arguments converge to Gaffney's definition that "sport is inherently geographic."

The present paper aims to achieve this objective, by using Valea Roșie Nature 2000 tourist map in print and digital form as an instrument for environmental education activities. These types of graphical and cartographic materials can be efficient means for transmitting information to pupils/students, tourists etc. Also, it can contribute to school curriculum improvement in a moment when many educational institutions have eliminated or drastically reduced environmental education classes and activities.

By extending the spatial, geographic position, the structure, the dynamics and the functionality, such a scene can define an entire urban or rural (locality) area. Volleyball is an indoors team sport, practiced by different age groups and by athletes with a certain body structure, and it can determine a certain type of cultural-sports scenery that has its own specificity. The present study, based on the specialized literature and analytical methods validated by the scientific research, proposes an analysis of the elements emerging from volleyball at the level of the Romanian competitions during the period 2009-2016. In order to define this scene we conducted an analysis, at a local level, of the static component: infrastructure and the dyn...

The present study aims at identifying the opportunities for the implementation of a bioeconomic exploitation system, by tourism development, according to its necessities for conservation and protection of cultural and natural elements. The landscape value is assessed, using different available thematic layers, using a combination of GIS and graphics. The resulting visibility of the tourist map of natural and anthropic values can be a very useful tool for tourists, the conservational custodian of the Nature 2000 site, local public administration for tourism development and leisure activities, participative touristic

Using specific tools and methods used in geographical but complementary fields, in conjunction with an interdisciplinary architectural heritage element are analyzed wooden churches as tourist planning perspective. Each „land" and ethnographic area of the Tisa and Mureș north to south has a specific fingerprint identifiable architectural style of these „pearls" of Romanian folk architecture. This diversity is an element of favorable effects on tourism diversification and increasing the attractiveness of a region or locality.

Pre-pandemic football season 2019/2020 held on the field only for the first part (690 teams; 781 games), was suspended at the beginning of March, 2020. This situation generated an uncertain 5-month break until the first official games in play-offs (1-9 August, 2020) in wich only 46 teams (6.6%) in total actually participated. In a state of global uncertainty, to the suggestion of RFF, the 42 county football associations were “invited” to identify new solutions in order to “finalize the season”, by declaring, or not, a champion team, another team for the national phase of Romania’s Cup and a county representative for the 3rd league play-off. With the help of statistical information provided by county structures, with the spatial analysis of statistical data reported and analyzed on local...

Quantitative elements such as number of inhabitants at neighborhood, village, commune, town, county, region level, number of players, population on age and gender groups, level of economic development, together with specific infrastructure elements (football fields or other types of sports arenas) and with qualitative elements (competitional level, number of players on age groups, junior, senior, amateur and professional teams) etc, all these used in mathematic formulae can generate indexes which would reflect the development level or the practicing or attractiveness degree of a certain sport at territorial unit or locality level. In this study, for the game of football, we propose the territorial development index for football (Tdif) and the football practicing index (Fpi). With the values resulted, hierarch...

The choice of Maramureș County has been made due to the fact that it represented an important polarization center of Romanian sports, especially during the socialist period. The accomplished data base provides quantitative information (number of localities, teams, number of teams, participations etc) and qualitative information (representation level, continuity) on the level of localities represented by football teams in national level competitions. With the help of the methods used and tools verified in the specialty literature, in the analytical part, there are outlined significant aspects...

It is an ecosystem with thermal waters of European importance, unique by the presence of the species: Scardinius racovitzai, Melanopsis parreyssi and Nymphaea lotus var. thermalis. Through specific analysis methods and tools of interdisciplinary character, the brand value was evaluated, and also the importance of this unique tourism resource for the spa tourism system Băile 1 Mai-Băile Felix. The danger of this symbol extinction due to the thermal water flow decrease in the reserve area requires this scientific approach, aiming in the same time at finding ways to save, protect and promote it.
