The reaction of chalcone derivatives with 4-hydrazinylbenzene sulfonamide hydrochloride and phenyl hydrazine hydrochloride yielded 1,3,5-tri-substituted-2-pyrazolines derivatives. The IR, 1HNMR, and mass spectrum analyses were used to characterise a total of sixteen substances. Analgesic activity of the proposed substances has been tested. The analgesic effect of the produced compounds was tested using two methods: the hot plate test technique and acetic acid induced writhing in mice. To compare the effectiveness, pentazocine and acetyl acetic acid were utilised as reference drugs. The hot plate test technique and acetic acid induced writhing in mice were used to assess the analgesic effect of the 16 produced chemical series A1-A8, and B1-B8. The evaluation's outcomes were viewed using Pentazocine and acetyl aceti...

Further, phytosomes been applied to many popular herbal extracts or active molecules for augmenting oral dissolution. Therefore, in present investigation, orally administered Baicalein, atype of flavanoids, is poorly absorbed, and shows suboptimal dissolution. The phytosomes encapsulating baicalein (1:1 Mm) were prepared by reverse phase evaporation method followed by lyophilization. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis revealed that phytosomes were almost spherical in shape with particle size below 100 nm. The Powder ex-ray diffraction (PXRD) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) demonstrated that Baicalein loaded phytosomes were amorphous in nature. Amorphization of therapeutic moiety leads to improvement in dissolution. In conclusion, epigallocatechin loaded phytosomes exhibited promising results and warrant further in vitro andin vivo investigations under a set of stringent parameters f...

Microwave extraction was carried out at 250 W for 20 minutes, 350 W for 15 minutes and 450 W for 10 min heating period, these produced increase yields of calcium sennosides when compared to conventional heating. The yield of calcium sennosides obtained by microwave extraction was found to be 3.0 gm, 3.4 gm and 3.9 gm respectively, more than that obtained by conventional method .The microwave assisted extraction method reduced the amount of solvent consumed for the extraction purpose and also reduced the time of extraction. This was also aided due to the increased intensity of microwave power. The calcium sennoside products obtained by Microwave and conventional methods were same both physically and chemically. The method developed can be

Herbal remedies are convenient for the management of diabetes due to their traditional acceptability and availability, low costs and lesser side effects. The present study was carried out to determine the in vitro antioxidant activity, antidiabetic activity and HPLC analysis of methanol extract of Clematis heynei and Solanum virginianum. Antioxidant activities of methanolic extract of C. heynei and S. virginianum were evaluated by H2O2 and No scavenging assay and antidiabetic activity was determined by in-vitro alpha-amylase inhibition assay and quercetin was detected in methanolic extract of C. heynei and S. virginianum under study by using RP-HPLC analysis. C. heynei and S. virginianum extracts showed effective hydrogen peroxide radical scavenging and nitr...

Ethosome become an area of research interest in formulation because of it’s enhance skin permeation and improve entrapment efficiency. Lamivudine and Stavudine loaded ethosomal carriers were prepared, optimized and characterized for microscopy, vesicular size, entrapment efficiency, stability and in-vitro release study. The entrapment efficiency of optimized formulation containing lamivudine ethanome F7 was found to be highest (74.12%) while F4 formulation showed least entrapment efficiency (58.81 %). Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) indicated that ethosome have a discrete spherical structure without aggregation. It has been observed the formulation containing phospholipid (3 gm) with 40 ml ethanol with Tween 80 and SLS has maximum entrapment efficiency. Percentage drug release of Lamivudine drug from ethosome formulation F7 was observed to be 78....

Results of study show that methanolic extract in higher doses (200 mg/kg) possesses marked anti-anxiety activity and was comparable to the effect produced by diazepam. The plant can be developed as a commercial source of anxiolytic agent. Further studies are in process to isolate the active constituent responsible for this activity and mechanism of action. Keywords: Leaves, Methanol, Anxiety, Diazepam
