BIOMETRICS is the use of an individual’s both physiological as well as behavioral characteristics to provide positive personal identification. Commonly used biometric devices include iris scanning, hand geometry, fingerprint scanning, retinal scanning etc. there are some biometric devices which are not yet classified termed as behavioral systems and include voice, signature, body odor etc. Prior aim of biometric devices lies behind protecting the desired data as well as helping in an automatic discrimination between various individuals. Body acts as password for every individual. The paper deals with the various biometric methods and identification that have evolved over the years. In the future coming years, the biometrics will grow and become much more common place.

Patients with USG documented ectopic pregnancies and who were haemo-dynamically stable, were included in the study. Total of 90 patients were recruited in the study who were admitted in our hospital as out-patient or emergency basis. Complete history, clinical examination, routine blood investigations, beta-hCG and ultra-sonography were carried out. Data was analyzed using Epi Info. Categorical variables were summarized as percentages and continuous variables were summarized as mean ± SD. Majority of Results: the patients of ectopic pregnancy belonged to the age group of 27-30 years. 38 patients (42.22%) were nulliparas. 77 patients (85.55%) presented with pain a...

ANU5a is a potential plant growth-promoting Rhizobacteria and a highly effective biocontrol agent. It produces Chitinases in broth media containing Chitin. Earlier reports on the chitinase production revealed the key importance of casein hydrolysate and yeast extract as additional sources of carbon and nitrogen to increase the yield. 16S rRNA-based method was used to identification of a Chitinolytic Actinomycete a Streptomyces sp. ANU5a was completed from Mangrove soil samples. Ammonium sulphate precipitation method was used for partial purification of Chitinases. The Chitinases have optimum activity at a temperature of 50-55°C and pH 5-6. Three protein bands of 20kDa, 67kDa, and 240kDa are resolved by Native-PAGE of Ammonium Sulphate fractions; the smallest band of 20kDa belongs to Chitinase. Enzyme activity for chitinase was recorded by zymogram analysis. Streptomyces sp. ANU5a was found to have notable antifungal activity on culture plates. We correlate the antim...

Images are corrupted with additive white Gaussian noise during image acquisition and transmission over analog circuits. In medical images the prevalence of noise can be perceived as tumours or artefacts and can lead to first diagnosis. Similarly in satellite images the visibility of images is significantly degraded due to noise, hence the image denoising is of vital importance. There are many denoising mechanisms given in literature are able to work well on lower noise levels but their performance degrades with increasing noise levels. If higher amount of filtering is applied it leads to degradation or removal of edges from the image and hence significant information. In this paper, we proposed an algorithm in which we are able to address the problem of image denoising at higher noise levels while preserving the edge information. The standard bilateral filter does not provides good results at higher noise levels. He...
