Throughout, there is a lot of solid biomass that can be used as energy. By co-pyrolysis, these waste plastic and solid biomass feedstock mixes can be transformed to produce synergistic fuels and value-added products. To promote environmentally appropriate pathways for waste management and sustainability, the manufactured products can be used as chemicals and pollutant sorbents. This review's main focus is on the advancement of this method of waste disposal and energy production. The difficulties and potential benefits of developing combinations of solid organic waste and plastic feedstock for co-pyrolysis are also covered. With the introduction of waste biomass for improved synergistic effects in waste disposal as well as the recovery of energy and value-added products, the objective was to provide attractive practicable pathways for clean and efficient disposal of plastic wastes.

In comparison of herbal medicine, synthetic medicines have side and toxic effects. That is why herbal medicines have huge demand and popularity in world market. In the present study different extracts of leaves of Xanthium strumarium were prepared and evaluated their antioxidant potential. Evaluation of antioxidant activity is done by DPPH method. All extract were tested for presence of phytoconstituents i.e., alkaloid, carbohydrate, sterols, proteins, amino acids, saponin, and phenolic compounds in different extracts. From the results, we foundout that acetone and methanol extracts were the richest extract for phytoconstituents. Acetone extract showed maximum antioxidant potential (54.01±1.09%).

Fundamental studies have opened a new field of research related to bioactive substances derived f... more Fundamental studies have opened a new field of research related to bioactive substances derived from food, and the pioneering work in this field has been done in the last decade on the basis of substance-orientated food and nutritional science. Milk proteins are considered important sources of bioactive peptides that could be released through enzymatic hydrolysis by digestive (gastrointestinal) enzymes, by fermentation, and by proteolysis employing enzymes derived from microorganisms or plants. These peptides are inactive within the protein sequence, requiring enzymatic proteolysis for release of the bioactive fragment from the proteins precursor. These molecules could be potentially employed in health and food products. In this investigation cow milk caseinate hydrolysates obtained with three different proteases studied with respect to the effect of incubation period on their activity. After treating the caseinate with different enzymes, each enzyme hydrolysates were estimated for ...

Majority of biological activities of milk is attributed to the milk protein casein and the bioactive peptides derived from it. Majority of the drugs available in the market to treat parasitic worm infections, have common side effects leading to limitations of their use. The present work was designed with the aim to evaluate the anthelmintic activity of bioactive peptides derived from goat milk casein upon treatment with proteolytic enzymes Trypsin, Chymotrypsin and Pepsin. From goat milk, casein was isolated and treated with different enzymes separately. Bioactive peptides obtained were analysed for their anthelmintic effects using in-vitro method. Recently, γ-T3 has attracted the attention of the scientific community due to its potent anticancer activity and other therapeutic benefits. The objective of this study was to develop and validate a simple and practical reversed-phase HPLC method with satisfactory sensitivity for the routine quantification of γ-T3 in rat and human plasma. The separation of γ-T3 from the plasma components was achieved with a C(18) reversed-phase column with an isocratic elution using a mixture of methanol, ethanol and acetonitrile (85:7.5:7.5, v/v/v) with a UV detection at 295 nm. γ-T3 was extracted from rat and human plasma by liquid-liquid extraction with an average recovery of 60%. The method proved linear in the range 100-5000 ng/mL. The inter-day precision ranged from 5.8 to 12.8% and the accuracy ranged from 92.4 to 108.5%, while the intra-day precision ranged from 0.7 to 7.9% in both rat and human plasma. This data confirm that the developed method has a satisfactory sensitivity, accuracy and precision for the quantification of γ-T3 in plasma. To assess its applicability the method was successfully applied to the quantitative analysis for pharmacokinetic studies of γ-T3 in rats administered a 10 mg/kg single oral dose.
