The performance evaluation of fruits and vegetable store located in a supermarket is a big challenge for the managerial personnel of the supermarket. In this paper, a new performance evaluation framework is proposed for the fruits and vegetable store located in a supermarket. The criteria for performance evaluation have been found out in a hierarchical structure through a brainstorming session among the experts. The 4 top-level criteria are storage, processing, sales and transport. These 4 top-level criteria are broken into 9 lower-level criteria. Fuzzy AHP is used to calculate the weights of criteria for each level of the hierarchy. Fuzzy TOPSIS generally ranks the alternatives. An improved fuzzy TOPSIS, which is named fuzzy k-TOPSIS, is proposed here to find out the rank as well as classification of the stores of fruits and vegetables. The proposed framework is demonstrate...

The selection decisions become more multifaceted due to continuous incorporation of advanced features and facilities as the decision makers in the manufacturing environment are to asses a wide varieties of alternatives based on a set of conflicting criteria. To assist the selection procedure various Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approaches are available. The present investigation endeavours to mitigate and unravel the robot selection dilemma employing the newly proposed Multiplicative Model of Multiple Criteria Analysis (MMMCA) approach. MMMCA is a novel model in which all performance ratings are converted into numerical values greater than and equal to unity and converting all non-benefit rating into benefit category. Each normalized weight is used as the index of corresponding normalized ratings those are multiplied to obtain the resultant ...

In every alternative multi-criteria decision making problem can be represented by a set of properties or constraints. The properties can be qualitative & quantitative. For measurement of these properties, there are different unit, as well as there are different optimization techniques. Depending upon the desired goal, the normalization aims for obtaining reference scales of values of these properties. This paper deals with the multi-attribute Complex Proportional Assessment of alternative. In order to make the appropriate decision and to make a proper comparison among the available alternatives Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) under fuzziness and COPRAS method with grey numbers has been used. The uses of AHP is for analysis the structure of the project selection problem is used under fuzziness and to assign the weights of the properties and the COPRAS-G method is used to obtain the final ranking ...

A case study is illustrated to demonstrate the effectiveness of this model. The outsourcing decision model compares three alternatives: standard cost accounting, standard theory‐of‐constraints, and our own solution.FindingsThe numerical results show that the new approach is superior to Standard cost accounting and Theory of Constraints and presents a more realistic state of optimum allocation of resources and measures the performance of the model.Research limitations/implicationsThis research is limited to the production processes that do not have multiple constraints.Originality/valueThis is the first time tha...

Without this no one can sustain in this competitive world. Indian technical education system is enormous and complex both in primary level and higher level. India has 82 engineering colleges (IITs-16, IIMs – 13, IISC – 1, IISERs – 5, Nits – 30, IIITs – 4, NITTRs – 4, Others (SPA, ISMU, NERIST, SLIET, NITIE & NIFFT, CIT)-9) but Indian technical education is facing a big threat for liberalization as well as global economy. Reviews of India's college education structure are clouded by endless controversies. The demands to " liberalize " college education have leaned on the need for new investments at a critical juncture of India's growth. So, the national, International and private investment become the key source of advanced study and newer techniques. As there is limited resource, so the performance evaluation is come into picture and is followed by the ranking among the alternatives. Aiming at this noble target of prior...

However, earlier research has been found lacking in the strategic approach to evaluate and analyze the I4.0 adoption-related risks for its implementation. This ultimately deprived organizations of a multitude of the benefits of I4.0 adoption. This research proposes a systematic methodology for understanding and evaluating the most evident risks in the context of I4.0 implementation. Design/Methodology/Approach: The research is mainly based on the inputs from experts/consultants along with robust literature review and researcher’s experience in the area of risk handling. The MCDM methods used for investigation and assessment are Fuzzy AHP and Fuzz...

The model is built by combining the soft set theory and analytic hierarchical model under fuzziness. Soft set model gives us the opportunity to use parameterization properties. Here, the authors have proved that multiple alternatives can be reduced to make the selection process computationally efficient. Here, the authors illustrate the hybrid method by means of an application of the new mathematical model of soft set theory. Design/methodology/approach This paper is designed to excel a decision support system with multiple criteria analysis tool, analytic hierarchy process combined with soft set theory under fuzziness. Findings In this paper, the authors have taken four projects P1, P2, P3 and P4. As per chosen parameters of softest theory the result of the illustrative example reveals that P2 is the best project.
