This study was conducted to explore the changes in Early childhood education teachers’ capacity w... more This study was conducted to explore the changes in Early childhood education teachers’ capacity when they were joining a special training with simulation strategy for introducing English at an early childhood education. Teacher’s capacity included two aspects in terms of English teaching strategies, developing material and media. Developmental study was applied for implementing the strategy involving 10 early childhood education teachers. In the first meeting, they still felt difficult in implementing the model. In the second meeting finally they could practice it well. Quantitatively, 90% of respondents acknowledged and admitted that the simulation strategy which they used have helped them to practice introducing English to young learners. Meanwhile, the 10% of respondents said that it was quite helpful for them. It can be concluded that training with simulation strategy was effective to improve early childhood education capacity in introducing English earlier. The successful mod...
This study aimed at describing types as well as values of character education found in Indonesian... more This study aimed at describing types as well as values of character education found in Indonesian folklores, specifically from Ponorogo, the city of Reog. Besides, this study reveals the relevance of Indonesian folklore in teaching literature for Junior High School students in Indonesia. Data are taken from the previous research findings on documenting Indonesian folklores, done by the researcher, consisting of 9 folklores. The study uses content analysis as the design. The findings show that the folklore classified into two, historical (2) and legend (7). Based on the analysis, Indonesian folklores contain great values of education character which suitable for teaching practices, such as: religious, Spirit of Nation,, honest, discipline, responsibility, and social care. In addition, those 9 folklores are applicable and suitable to use as teaching material for literature topics at Junior High School level in Indonesia

It aids students in identifying their English learning problems and skills. Students, on the other hand, may interpret lecturer WCF differently than the lecturer intended. This study is aimed at describing the type of lecturer’s WCF and the students’ perception of lecturer’s WCF in a paragraph writing class. It is descriptive qualitative research, employing documentation and interview as research instruments, which was conducted with 18 students of the third semester English department students of Muhammadiyah University of Ponorogo. Furthermore, there were five out of 18 students randomly selected to be interviewed to discover students’ perspective of the given feedback. Early childhood education teachers are required to have the ability to teach English in a good and fun way. The purpose of this study is to explore the needs of being able to teach English well for the early childhood education teacher (ECET). The survey technique was conducted with 56 respondents from the ECE teachers. The survey was conducted via google form with 15 questions. The result showed that 55% of the respondents gave priority of developing instructional media and materials in the expected training. Meanwhile as many as 33% of expected training was emphasized on teaching technique as the first prominent. The only 12% who considered motivation training was very principle. All trainings they were expecting the needs of designing training concept such as duration, facilitator, methodology, material, media, and setting of places were fully considered

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan representasi falsafah Jawa dalam cerita rakyat tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian berupa kata-kata dan kalimat, baik berupa narasi cerita maupun percakapan tokoh dalam cerita. Objek penelitian ini adalah cerita rakyat “Terjadinya Terowongan Air Mangge” di Kecamatan Sukorejo, Kabupaten Ponorogo. Sumber data adalah cerita rakyat “Terjadinya Terowongan Air Mangge” yang telah dibukukan dalam Kumpulan Cerita Rakyat Kabupaten Ponorogo oleh Kasnadi dan Hurustyanti (2016). Teknik yang digunakan yakni baca, simak, dan catat. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tim peneliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga representasi falsafah hidup Jawa, yaitu (a) tentang ketuhanan; (b) tentang sosial bermasyarakat dan kemanusiaan; dan (c) tentang alam sekitar.

This paper aims to identify the responses of early childhood education teacher (ECET) toward E-bo... more This paper aims to identify the responses of early childhood education teacher (ECET) toward E-book guide for English teaching practices which was developed by the writer. By identifying their responses properly, it is assumed that they can be helped to be competent English practitioners with the e-book independently. The survey technique was conducted with 19 respondents from the ECET from Ponorogo, Indonesian through a questionnaire. The analysis data was done by calculating the percentage of responses and descriptively explored. The result showed that only 12% of the respondents were fairly interested. Meanwhile as many as 88% of them was very interested in the ebook designed. The model was very effective to motivate the especially when it was used in the pandemic covid-19 situation. English now has been very influential in Asia's language educational policies and practices for the past couple of years including Indonesia. The concern of today‟s Indonesian parents toward their children seems to be getting better. This paper, therefore, tried to show the finding of study concerning whether the parents‟ SES has contribution in forming their views on equipping their children with English. The data were collected by employing a survey technique using questionnaires and interviews involving 245 parents as the research respondents. The sentences should be informative, communicative, and comphrehensive countructed. Since the report is written manully, the various forms of report writing are found which potencially lead to the misunderstanding. Therefore, this paper is going to show the solution used to help teacher write a rapport with an appliction program. Research and Developmental Study is used a the research design. The result showed that the applcation offered was greeted enthusiatically by the teachers. The teachers with limited vocabulary felt easy to express with the description available in the application. The time used to accomplished the work becomes more effective. The error of writing can be minimized. Therefore, it is suggested that the teacher have to be familiar with technology to serve the students optimally.

Karakter Indonesia dinilai kurang siap dalam menghadapi MEA 2015 baik dari segi kesiapan kompetensi kerja maupun komunikasi bahasa. Ditinjau dari sisi sosiolinguistik, motivasi bangsa Indonesia untuk menguasai bahasa Asing terlihat sangat lemah terkait dengan kebijakan yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah.
