This new type of concrete was prepared based on the sulfur-melamine modification and various ingredients. The new sulfur-melamine modifier was fabricated, and its fabrication was confirmed by IR spectroscopy and TG analysis. The surface morphology resulted from this modifier was studied by SEM and EDS analysis. The components ratios in concrete, chemical and physical characteristics resulted from sulfur-melamine modifier, chemical and corrosion resistance of concrete, stability of concrete against water adsorption, stability of concrete against freezing, physical and mechanical properties and durability, modulus of elasticity, and thermal expansion coefficient of the studied sulfur concrete were investigated. The IR results confirmed the amino functional groups (attached melamine ring) and the formation of polymer sulfur chains. The sulfur-mela...

The presence of characteristic vibration peaks in FT-IR and reflection planes in XRD spectra confirmed the formation of spinel ferrites. The prepared oxides were transformed into oxide film on glassy carbon electrodes by coating oxide powder ink using the nafion solution and investigated their electrocatalytic performance for OER in an alkaline solution. The cyclic voltammograms of the oxide electrode did not show any redox peaks in oxygen overpotential regions. The iR-free Tafel polarization curves exhibited two Tafel slopes (b1 = 59–90 mV decade−1 and b2 = 92–124 mV decade−1) in lower and higher over potential regions, respectively. Ni-substitution in oxide matrix significantly improved the electrocatalytic activity fo...

Reproducibility of electrode potential, response time and their stability were investigated. The potential of electrode has been studied with different concentrations of acetate ion. These electrodes were used for direct potentiometric determination of acetate ion in food preservatives (vinegar sample), water and water-alcohol mixture solvents. Suitable empirical equations have been developed for reliability of data. Electrodes were also used as an end point detector in potentiometric titration.
