It has developed a diagnosis in order to assess the problem of handling solid waste of Ilustre Mu... more It has developed a diagnosis in order to assess the problem of handling solid waste of Ilustre Municipality of the canton Daule. From this analysis it has been determined engineering parameters that will serve to the conception and design of a modernized landfill that meets the expectations of the municipal authorities as well as those of society Dauleña. Additionally a system of integrated management of solid waste in the canton that includes recycling and composting arises. From the diagnosis it has been determined that the study area shows a traditional and disorderly management in the management of solid waste, since the provision of these are performed in an open dump located on the campus San José, 12km from the cantonal head, where the current prime road called "side Step NobolDaule" causing a health, environmental and social conflict is built ,; because this is an urgent need to make the technical closure of the existing dumpsite and the immediate construction of the new landfill which is in pre-feasibility stage. With regard to the management of municipal solid waste in the canton Daule and determination of the following parameters it was determined: 1. The collection coverage is 90% 2. Characterization of solid waste determined that 71% are putrescible waste and 23% recyclable materials and other not usable wastes was performed. 3.- Currently collected (2015) about 104 tons of garbage throughout the canton 4. The per capita generation rate of municipal solid waste is 0.82 kg / inhabitant * day 5. There are established routes and schedules garbage collection 6. In the current dump site is located near 200.00 tons of garbage occupying a volume of 500,000 m3 (2015 projection) 7. It has been estimated production leached by the Swiss method, obtaining a result of 41.89 m3 / day in San Jose. With all the data and information obtained has developed the diagnosis of the current situation of solid waste management in the canton Daule and parameters with which to actually seek out the project of the new landfill. It has also made a proposal of the model of integrated waste management Canton could be done on a pilot basis. The interest of the municipalities, the Ministry of Environment and citizens shown throughout this research promises a favorable environment for achieving the transition from management of municipal solid waste way, which means placing them on par with very good administrations national and global levels.
