The United Arab Emirates continues to undertake and sustain its research pursuits in Covid-19 as a matter of strategy, considering that the country is facing unique challenges in this area of research. The paper seeks to analyze UAE publications on Covid-19 research and describe its research trends. Methodology. A literature search on UAE publications on Covid-19 was conducted using the Scopus database, limiting the search period for the study to December 1, 2019 - April 7, 2023. Data were retrieved and downloaded for analysis using Microsoft Excel and Scopus Citation Overview tools. VOSviewer software was used to provide creative visualization of the relationships across researchers, institutions, and journals that reported UAE publications. Results: 48,1461 publications were published on Covid-19 from December 2019 till April 7, 2023. The study quantifies publication data in various aspects of performance, such as the publication growth, research impact and quality, national and international collaboration, distribution by sub-fields, contribution and impact of organizations and authors, major areas of research emphasis as reflected in keywords, preferred channels of research communications and characteristics of higher cited papers. The findings reveal that Haryana social science publications has increased at an annual average growth rate of 16.94% and registered an average citation impact per paper of 3.80 during 2005-14. 13% share of the social science publications of Haryana is internationally collaborative. For improving research in social sciences, concentrated efforts should be made in Haryana to improve teaching and research, create better research ...
The publication analyses high productivity organizations in India in environmental science, using... more The publication analyses high productivity organizations in India in environmental science, using publications data from Scopus database for the period 2008 to 2012 for identifying their overall strength and weakness measured on few quantitative and qualitative indicators. It also provides a comparative evaluation and performance of different types of Indian organizations in environment research. The study concludes that IITs (Institutes of National Importance) and research institutes model of funding for research are comparatively more effective in giving performance in terms of quantity and quality. The publication also lists suggestions for national policy formulation for growth and development of environmental science research in the country.

Objective. We aimed to examine the current research trends published by the International Orthopa... more Objective. We aimed to examine the current research trends published by the International Orthopaedics (INOR) journal using bibliometric analysis. Design/Methodology/Approach. Using the Scopus database, we have retrieved all articles published by the International Orthopaedics journal from 1977 to 2022. The key players, such as countries, institutes, and authors, were identified, and their collaborative linkages were analyzed using MS Excel and VOSviewer software. Results/Discussion. We identified 7645 publications from 107 countries, of which 40 were from Europe and 32 from Asia. The most contributing countries were China, Germany, and France. The Netherlands, Canada, and Switzerland were the most impactful countries regarding citations. Hospital Henri Mondor (France) and IRCCS Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute (Italy) were the most productive organizations. Design/Methodology/Approach. Bangladesh publications on Covid-19 during 2020-2023 were retrieved using the Scopus database. From each record, we retrieved data on the title, author, organizations, journal, publication type and source, country, collaboration, funding, topic and keywords. They were exported to MS-Excell for bibliometric analysis, and VOSviewer software was used for analyzing keyword co-occurrence networks. Results/Discussion. As seen from Scopus database, e-commerce research by India during 2003-18 registered 22.40% growth, published an average of 161 papers per year, and averaged low citation impact of 4.67 citations per paper. Compared to India, global average growth in the subject was even slower 3%. The top 10 countries accounted for bulk of (78.12%) global output in the subject (59725). India has been the sixth most productive country in the world, it contributed 4.67% (2587 papers) share to global output. The study profiles top 15 global organizations, top 15 global authors in the field, top subject areas intersecting e-commerce research, and top channels in research communications. In addition, it provides a brief bibliometric analysis of high cited papers.
