One of such institutions is the Igbo customary arbitration mechanism. This article aims at unavailing and bringing to the fore, the numerous positive aspects of customary arbitration which include the quick dispensation of justice, less financial implications, and purposeful and acceptable awards. It uses indigenous procedures and actors in arriving at an award. It focuses on the deployment of cultural, religious, and legal components in its procedures and findings. It therefore offers a better alternative as litigants could benefit from it. The practice also encourages cultural revival. This study makes use of documents, interviews, and observational methods while deploying a sociological (functionalist) methodology in its analysis.

All participants were randomly allocated to REOHC and waitlist group (WLG). REOHC group were exposed to a single session 120 min REOHC programme every week for 12 weeks. Data were collected using Maslach Burnout Inventory for Educators (MBI-ES), at baseline; post-intervention as well as follow-up evaluations 1 and 2 evaluations. All the data gathered for the study were analysed using mean, Standard Deviation (SD), t-test statistics, repeated measures ANOVA, and charts. Results Results indicated a significant decrease in teachers’ burnout, following REOHC intervention, which was sustained through follow-ups 1 and 2. Conclusion In conclusion, we stated that REOHC is valuable in treating burnout symptoms in teachers of children with ASDs.

Religions of different sects especially those that see the Ultimate Reality as outside the human habitation; higher and above the physical world; residing in the Supersensible or the Supra-mundane world make a contraction of the human world from the invisible abode-the 'residence' of the spiritual forces. A major religion which has much to do with the metaphysical world is the African Traditional Religion (ATR). The Religion and African world-view recognize a dual world. The physical and the metaphysical; the human and the spiritual. While the spiritual or metaphysical world consists of the Deities, spirits, spirit forces, divinities, ancestors and the likes, the physical world is made up of human beings and other creatures both animate and inanimate. Interestingly, in the African world-view, man in the physical world must constantly behave to attract the favours of the spiritual world or forces for his survival. Man must worship God, woo, lobby or placate the divinities and his ancestors including other mystical powers regularly if he must fullfil and enjoy his destiny on earth and even beyond. To consult with the divine forces, he must appear before them prepared, clean and of no blemish. Appearing before the divinities may be in the form of a traditional medicine practitioner or simply as a worshipper asking for one form of favour or the other. A worshipper or litigant as it were, is required to perform some rites or rituals of cleansing/purification of himself or his environment if his supplications must be heard by the divine for the betterment of all. This work has therefore considered the various approaches and reasons for approaching the divinities and the preparations preceding the approach, which make up the Golden Rule-coming clean or purifying oneself before encountering the divinity. This works is a phenomenological study makes use of documented, observation and interview methods of data gathering and analysis. To approach the divinities, humans going by the African world-view must purify themselves. This is the Golden Rule.

Best known for his advocacy of Black Theology and Black liberation Theology. A onetime pastor of former American President Barack Obama, JAMES H. CONE is currently the Charles Augustus Briggs Distinguished Professor of Systematic Theology at Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York. The blacks in asking who is Jesus for us today, according to Cone means that the story of Jesus' life and death is the answer to the human story of oppression and suffering. Believing that the black's liberation through the fundamental understanding and application of who is Jesus for us today, will liberate the blacks (worldwide) from oppression, subjugation and enslavement by their white counterparts. Alas, even after giving independence and the institution of several measures towards the equality of mankind no matter the colour, blacks and indeed the whole world is faced with different and various problems emanating even from the blacks themselves across the globe. Now the question is, has the realization or knowledge of who is Jesus Christ for us today provided the much-needed answer to black liberation?

He celebrates his attainment of higher social class or status not only with an elaborate cultural celebration but also with the accompanying rites and rituals as he is ushered into the higher world with its expected responsibilities. This celebration is called the Rites of Passage. In Igboland, the rite of passage that ushers the male adolescents into adulthood or manhood is the Iwa-Akwa ceremony, which takes place every three years. The rites and rituals associated with this ceremony are to effectively fortify the initiates into a new world of manhood, fatherhood, and indeed, the decision makers of the land expected to lead an exemplary lifestyle for the younger ones to copy. The rigours the initiates go through are to prepare them for the duties and demands of the society. It has its social, cultural, and religious significance. The work made u...

No wonder all human activities, government policies, and the entire engagements of humanity are anchored on the betterment and sanctity of human life. Religions all over the world recognize the sacredness of human life as the highest form of creation. Sadly, the sacredness of human life has been facing a downward movement never experienced in the history of mankind in the main as a result of incidences of couples killing each other on a mere or flimsy reason of suspected marital infidelity. Nigeria media quite recently have been agog with daily reportage of such dastardly acts without a corresponding reportage of possible solution located in the multi-wives marriage or culture of the African traditional society. This work focuses on the gains of multi-wives marriage in Africa, which has been in existence since the origin of humanity in Africa.
