Dana Mihai
In the course of my professional career, I had the opportunity to study and get to know all segments of cultural heritage, working for over 10 years in the field of museum research, which included the activity of inventory, knowledge (archaeologist) and promotion of movable and immovable heritage, coordinating or being part of over 15 national and international exhibition projects that highlighted the mobile heritage in Romania. Then, from 2003, I was for 7 years Scientific Director within the National Institute of Historical Monuments, which then became the National Institute of Heritage, I coordinated the research activity and inventory of historical monuments, through the Lists of Historical Monuments. I was the coordinator of the Egispat project which aims to collect, structure and present information from the field of environment and spatial planning of the territory of Romania. The interpretation and correlation of these categories of information will allow obtaining new data regarding areas of major importance for the protection of immovable heritage: the influence of natural factors on immovable heritage, categories of risks to which immovable heritage is subject, methods of effective risk management, correlation with actions of other institutions of the central administration. From 2010 to the present, I am Deputy Director within the National Institute of Heritage, coordinating over 20 national and European projects that considered all components of cultural heritage, in connection with interdisciplinary fields.
