The proposed antenna has the configuration of 40 mm∗58 mm∗1.5 mm. The slots are etched on the bowtie antenna to obtain multi-band features. The number of slots and spacing between them is varied for parametric study. The designed is fabricated on FR4 material and the measured and simulated results are in good agreement with each other thus confirming the proposed antenna design. High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS) is used for simulating the antenna design.

In this technique, the magnitude and phase asymmetries of the kernels of the PA excited by the probing-signal are analyzed in different amplitude regions of the large-signal. The device under test is a class-AB PA operating at 2.14 GHz. The maximum sweeping frequency space of the probing-signal is 20 MHz. The results indicate that the Volterra kernels of the PA show different behaviors (frequency dependency and asymmetry) in different regions.

A metallic rod and a metallic sphere could not be separated in the SAR images. Polarimetric SAR images were analyzed and images corresponding to different antenna orientations were obtained by applying rotation matrices to radar data. The target intensity varied with the rotation angle. Elongation and orientation of the objects could be determined from the ratio of minimum and maximum intensity. Upper and lower limits for measurable elongation depend on measurement errors.

The FSS is a L9 shaped structure with dimensions 7 × 7mm2 and substrate thickness h = 0.762 mm. The proposed FSS aims to provide dual pass-bands in X-band. A stacked array FSS is also studied to broaden the transmission band of the structure. An equivalent circuit model is also given for analyzing the frequency characteristics of the proposed design. The simulation results and the results of equivalent circuit model are in synchronization with each other. HFSS software is used for simulation process and Agilent's ADS software has been used to get the results of Equivalent Circuit model.

Recently THz antenna is becoming more interesting for the researcher because of huge applications in the areas of remote sensing, imaging, Radar and satellite communications. With these developments tremendous opportunities are available to obtain the super quality images, high speed and large data communications. THz antenna design inherits many challenges starting from fabrication to interaction of electromagnetic waves with its nano structures and limitations involving the way of signal generation and detection. This paper presents metamaterial based fractal antenna for THz applications. GaAs based material is used as substrate. The results of return loss, VSWR, gain and radiation pattern of the proposed antenna are discussed and analyzed. The return loss vs. frequency plot exhibits multiband in nature. The results of (with and without) metamaterial fractal antennas are compared. The improvements of antenna parameters such as return loss and gain are observed. HFSS 14 commercial software is used for simulation of the design.
