Their impact on the local and regional economic development process appears to become more pressing, and the magnitude of the challenges is immense. There is a circular and cumulative relationship between these issues and local and regional economies, in some cases resulting in a vicious cycle that requires a clear understanding of the entire set of factors to interrupt this cycle. This paper tries to understand the relationship between these factors within the local and regional development framework.
