Sensitivity analyses are purposed to gain insight and certainty about the validity of research findings reported. Reporting guidelines and health research methodologists have emphasized the importance of utilizing and reporting sensitivity analyses in clinical research. However, sensitivity analyses are underreported in nursing and health research. The aim of this methodological overview is to provide an introduction to the purpose, conduct, interpretation, and reporting of sensitivity analyses, using a series of simulated and contemporary case examples.

Disparities continue to exist between White and Black infant mortality rates even after controlling for sociodemographic factors, and therefore, do not fully explain the inequities observed in LBW outcomes between White and Black women. Prior work demonstrated an association between gestational weight gain (GWG) and LBW infant outcomes. The purpose of this research was to determine if GWG holds the same prognostic value in a cohort of Black women. Theoretical/Conceptual Framework The Neuman Systems Model guided this research study. Neuman argues that humans are in constant interaction with environmental stressors affecting health outcomes. Possible stressors of Black women explored within this study were reportedly related to LBW outcomes within the literature: experiences with racism, stress, and...

Prior reviews have identified the prognostic factors associated with survival and recovery following cardiac arrest. However, few studies to date have examined the prognostic value of frailty in predicting post-arrest outcomes. The objective of this systematic review is to synthesize the available evidence reporting the association between frailty and patient outcomes following the provision of CPR in-hospital or out-of-hospital MethodsWe searched the following electronic databases from inception until August 2020: Medline Epub Ahead of Print, In-Process and Other Non-Index citations, Pubmed exclusive of Medline citations, EMBASE, CINAHL and Web of Science. We plan to include observational studies that examine the association between frailty and any of the following outcomes: survival to hospital discharge, surviv...
