I have been working as an end-to-end Services & integration engineer at Ericsson Nigeria since December 2008 and relocated to Ericsson UAE September, 2011. My work has mainly been focused on Ericsson BB OSS(NMS/EMS) and OSS RC products deployment engineering, installation, configuration, integration, testing and documentation of the solution delivered to the customer which I have been particularly involved in installation, integration, O &M and System Support Acceptance Testing and Handover to customer.
Before joining Ericsson I was a software developer for three years with Strong knowledge of the Enterprise Systems Development and deployment using JAVA Open-Source Technologies and UNIX/Linux Platforms. I had the opportunity to work as Software developer for different projects, different Customers creating an excellent network and relationship that I have maintain on a regular basis. And have had opportunity to be a member of team for the development of an enterprise system platform which allowed me to build a very good relationship with customers and experts which conferred to me a very good ability of handling different projects with different customers.
I worked on SOM project as On Job Training and afterwards I have been individually performing installations/integration/ATP of full fledged SOM, SOEM SONM, SOESA, IPT-NMS, NetOp EMS, EntriView, OSS RC, ENIQ /BIS/BO OSS NAVIGATOR, and strongly knowledge of MLE,MLTN, EDA, MDRS, IMS, SmartEdge Router, LTE, EPC Nodes projects. The different technical and integration relevant problems faced during testing have provided me with the optimum chance to learn and strengthen my knowledge on NMS and Broadband OSS related issues. Have also been involved in an On Job Training for OSS RC, ENIQ and BO customization in OSS PDU, Athlone and helped the SI during installation and integration phases in the test lab. And also worked in OSS RC 11.2, ENIQ 11.0 and BO, OSS Navigator Projects. As a BB OSS & OSS RC Engineer I have delivered projects and provided strong support during the Product Introduction and Deployment activities, and troubleshooting customer issues focusing on ensuring successful introduction, deployment and support of IPT NMS, and Service On EM Product Families and OSS RC, ENIQ etc. Such as Installation, replication, configuration, Integration and setup of IPT NMS, Service On EM for the customer’s environment and requirements. Preparation and Generation and execution of Acceptance Test procedures demonstrating product functionality to the customer. Reproduction and troubleshooting of customer reported problems.Understanding customer requirements, and ensuring the customer setup is understood in Development and Test internal organizations. Coordination of activities, and maintain communication, with field units. Generation of reports on Customer product introduction and deployment and Handle Customer Service requests and Working with cross functional teams (engineering, test and product management) to identify quality risks and customer requirements in time to assure the project schedules and quality goals are met. I believe all this on-hands experience has given me a clear and vivid picture of the Network management system’s functionality and has endowed me with a confidence to work on customer site.
