Here, the selected words are violet, orange, pink and grey. However, these words still pertain to the class of Basic Colour Terms (as referred to in Berlin and Kay's hierarchy) as they are usually described as a mixture of two other (basic) colours (i.e. violet = red + blue; orange = yellow + red; pink = red + white; grey = black + white) – they are called secondary colour terms. Not only are they the least studied (in comparison to white, black and red), but they also seem more likely to highlight the potential differences between the languages in question. The study is essentially synchronic, but also contains information of diachronic nature (the etymology and, possibly, the history of considered terms). Having demonstrated the presence of violet, orange, pink and grey in the language (idioms, phrases, collocations, etc.), the authors go on to discuss the differences and similarities of colour terms geographical and linguistic ends of Europe have different colour visions.

Beyond the remarkable coincidences and differences highlighted not only by intellectual but also historical questions, the comparison is also a source of controversy over the character, form and role of any national language. The theoretical basis of this work are the ideas of Einar Haugen, i.e. the ecology of language, linguistic planning and linguistic policy.

A. Nemnich (1797). It contains only the names of fabrics included in this work. The study covers formal, etymological, grammatical and historical observations. The main goal is not only to edit this unknown lexicographical material but, at the same time, to broaden the knowledge of linguistic and historical nature of this lexical field. The result is, above all, new forms, variants and dating.

As this topic is quite broad, the article opens with a discussion of the Hispanic-Amerindian lexicography in the colonial period from the first works to the independence stage. Then the main achievements of contemporary Hispanic-American lexicography are presented. At the end, a paragraph is dedicated to the challenges of the metalexicography in Spanish-speaking America. For a better understanding, the main text is preceded with a brief historical-cultural outline. StudiaIberystyczne_19.indb 223 2021-04-22 15:44:47

A fin de comprobar la hipotesis segun la cual el autor aleman se sirvio en gran medida de la obra del jesuita vasco, analizamos la fecha de la primera documentacion de los lexemas, las variantes presentadas por ambos autores tal como el orden y el contenido de las entradas.
