The applications of Internet of Things (IoT) have shown to be pervasive in various sectors. Howev... more The applications of Internet of Things (IoT) have shown to be pervasive in various sectors. However, IoT applications in education sector have not been as aggressive as in other sectors. Nevertheless, it does not negate the apparent benefit and impact of the IoT implementation in the education sector. In this paper, we explore some existing IoT applications in education sector in recent years to give a bird’s eye view to prospective readers. We find that IoT implementation in education sector has different facets, from smart learning environment to instrumented toys. Applications are explored at each level of the academic sector, from preschool level up to tertiary academic level. We also make some predictions on the IoT development in education area based on the current technology advancement. In order to consolidate the existing research that are essentially focusing on a single objective to enhance learning, we consider the term "Internet of Education Things" (IoEdT) as a group of technologies contributing to a better learning environment and learning process that may range from making smarter campuses to monitoring education process.

The content in the learning module which contain technological problem solving and visible thinking activities has been going through expert validation before it were applied in this study. The instrument used to measure the technological problem solving is Te ch nological Problem Solving Inventory (PSI-TECH). Quasi-experiments was implemented in this study, involving experimental and control group which were equal and homogeneous in selected characteristics. The robotic and basic visual coding program was conducted for 5 months, with an hour of lesson each week, consistent with the school syllabus and activities. Result obtained by collecting the data before and after the program, and quantitative analysis of t-test and MANOVA were used.
