After the analysis of the countal confiscation register of 1315 we can conclude that the county treasurer, the Lombard Guiduche Baldechon, made an agreement with the Knights Hospitaller in Flanders tot collect 1.200 lb. par. on their possessions. Also these goods of the Hospital can be considered as "once belonging to the Temple of Flanders" before the removal of the Order of the Knights Templar in 1312. This research also proves a connection with the Lombards, as bankers and financiers in the financial bureaucracy of the county of Flanders. The confiscation of former Templar goods was done by the Lombard Guiduche Baldechon and there was a connection with the case against Thomas Fini, a former treasurer of the Flemish count Robert of Bethune, who was blamed by the count for corruption.
