It includes newly developed subsurface imaging technologies based on seismic fibre optic and gravity surveying. In addition, the SEL methodology was developed, which provides an assessment framework to understand which technical and non-technical aspects still need to be improved in order to implement CCS and its monitoring system successfully. Application of the SEL methodology based on socio-economic research carried out in Norway, Netherlands, Germany and Greece, identified what do stakeholders expect from a monitoring system. In this paper, the authors provide hints on how the outcomes of the international project DigiMon can be integrated within a Decision Support System (DSS) in order to assist the operator to follow up and manage CCS operation. The role of DSS is to as...

The Environmental Technologies Action Plan (ETAP) concentrated and mobilized Member State and stakeholder efforts bringing eco-innovation from research to market, improving market conditions, opening up global markets. Rapid and reinforced actions are now required, building on the experience of ETAP helping SMEs to have benefits by introducing eco-innovative approaches into their operations. Particularly start-ups, can be the ideal incubators for eco-innovation, and can bring to market new, less environmentally damaging products, services and processes. Generally many SMEs are struggling to survive in an ongoing global recession and often they are becoming reluctant to release innovation, particularly eco-innovation (

The proposed equipment performs test and acquisition of analogue data (U and I) and numerical data. The sampled data are recorded when preset thresholds are exceeded by the analogical inputs or when the digital inputs states change. The fixed variant is supplementary provided with 2 analogue outputs and 8 numerical outputs. The operation of equipment is simulated and the corresponding software are exemplified for the case of a highly distorting consumer, a set of electric energy quality parameters being determined for this case

As its title itself shows, the paper presents a numerical simulation of the airflow pattern in a hospital room whether or not a portable air conditioner is in use within it. The main purpose of the research was finding the way that the initial airflow pattern obtained without using the portable air conditioner changes as a result of using it. In fact, the idea was to find out which of the three beds is the most reliable to host a patient who accidentally has caught a flu during his/her hospitalization - possibly from a visitor, in order for him/her to keep the location without threatening the health of the other two patients (assuming that the room is dedicated to other treatments than the ones for transmissible respiratory diseases, e.g. recovery from surgery).

From the internet to smartphones, from 3D printing to social media, technology is creating an environment that is interactive, integrated and available for everyone. The paper presents an online e-tool that will help create bridges between SMEs, research institutes and public authorities in the Danube area. Creating this platform for the development of innovative solutions facilitates the communication and collaboration of actors in the Danube Region, with multiplying effects in the field of bio-economy. The platform increases the possibilities of creating innovative products by making explicit the mechanisms through which the market in the bio-economy sector works, thus leading to the attainment of sustainable solutions for the Danube Region.

In this paper we present shortly the learning methods in SMEs particularly the use of Problem Based Learning (PBL) supported by digital technologies as an efficient form for SMEs and entrepreneurship education. Within the European project Archimedes with the authors as partners PBL is used supported by an ICT platform (www.archimedes-tiki.eu)) make possible E-Learning. Cloud Computing offers many opportunities for SME business and can help companies improve their business and use technology more efficiently also for E-Learning. In the European project IN-CLOUD a partnership was created and the authors analysed the use of Cloud Computing for nosiness and learning in SMEs.

In this way, it is presented a data acquisition equipment for energetic measures which is incorporated in a dispatching system aiming the monitoring and storing of electrical measures which are taken from electrical cells which compose the supervised electrical station. There is shown the system architecture underlining the taken signals, transducers used and the component elements of the system: Local data acquisition equipments (LDAqE), Local data acquisition equipments synchronization subsystem, Data communication subsystem and Processing, storing and data displaying subsystem.
