This paper presents a method of measuring quality, in the domain of E-Learning, to provide a partial measure both usability (QE) and Satisfaction (QinU) to assess and, in the future, to improve quality the same. In this paper, we introduce a model that aims to provide guidelines that will strengthen the eval... more In this paper, we introduce a model that aims to provide guidelines that will strengthen the evaluation of interactive systems by assisting in the identification and analysis of emotions evoked by users during system usage. We briefly discuss related projects that have included emotions in the evaluation of interactive systems. The research presented here is a preliminary work towards the inclusion of emotions during the evaluation of interactive systems. Our model is presented including details of each of its phases. We discussed preliminary results of the application of the model to evaluating a Virtual Learning Environment. Our approach comprises four major phases: Selection of relevant emotions; analysis of relationships between emotions and interactive systems; selection of detection mechanisms; and application of evaluation methods.

The IDSS combines artificial intelligence (AI) techniques with qualitative models and system dynamics simulation, and allows quantitative and qualitative variables to be integrated into a comprehensive methodology, necessary to design strategies and policies. The aim of this work is designing a computer-based environment for supporting a teaching strategy where both the pedagogic aspects and the learning goals were adapted according to the particularities of the pupil. The two fundamental problems that are approached in this paper are: designing the interface that is embedded in an Intelligent Tutorial System and implementing an efficient communication of knowledge.

There are a number of reasons that have led us to choose a tool such as this one: the amount of information generated in a hospital, its great interrelation and the need of heuristic knowledge for its processing.The KBS has been designed following the KADS methodology. KADS has allowed us to obtain a structured representation of the knowledge, which makes easier both the construction and the debugging of the knowledge base. As a starting point, the decision-making task has been decomposed in four subtasks: monitoring; diagnosis; prediction of the possible solutions for the stated problem; and design of the solution.The prediction task can only be performed through a simulation program where the dynamics of the hospital is modeled.
