Additionally, it highlights how crucial AI literacy is in today's world for both patrons and librarians. In this paper also try to also focus on future libraries and machine learning processes. AI has a big impact on college and university libraries, changing the services they provide and modernizing how they run. In order to offer tailored recommendations for books, articles, and research papers, artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms can examine a user's preferences, browsing history, and academic interests. All things considered, artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing college and university libraries through bettering information retrieval, offering tailored recommendations, streamlining resource administration, increasing user experience, facilitating data-driven decision-making, and encouraging cooperation and knowledge exchange. These developments guarantee that, in the digital age, libraries will remain essential for facilitating scholarly research, instruction, and learning.

By granting innovators exclusive rights over their creations for a defined period, IPRs ensure that their contributions are recognized and safeguarded. As a member of the World Trade Organization, India has aligned its intellectual property policies with international standards. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the various types of IPRs and outlines the registration process in detail. Additionally, it examines the relationship between IPRs and the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes the enhancement of skills and abilities through a technology-driven approach to teaching and learning. The NEP 2020 encourages creativity and innovation, aligning closely with the principles of intellectual property protection.

The DSpace and Greenstone Digital Library Software have played crucial roles in promoting the practical application of digital library technology globally, with a particular focus on developing countries. Open-source digital library packages have gained significant recognition and usage in recent years. For cost-effective development of digital libraries, using open-source software is highly recommended. This paper presents the findings of an online survey examining the adoption and usability of open-source digital library software across various organizations. The survey aimed to assess the extent to which organizations have implemented these open-source solutions and to compare the features of the most popular OSS digital library software packages.

For libraries, these systems eliminate the initial costs associated with commercial software and provide greater control over their operational environments. It is crucial for library professionals to understand the benefits of open source software and actively engage in its development and implementation. This discussion explores the criteria for selecting library management software and advocates for the adoption of open source options. The paper focuses on the features of Koha, pioneering open source library management software that has been rapidly adopted in India and worldwide. By evaluating Koha's advantages and disadvantages, the study also compares it with other open source software such as PMB, PhpMyLibrary, and OpenBiblio. The aim is to identify the standard features of integrated library management software through a review of related literature and practical experiences.

Artificial intelligence applications in libraries have revolutionized the information industry. Additionally, it has given modern libraries' development fresh life. It is believed that integrating artificial intelligence into library operations will open up new internet resources for libraries. Virtual reality, which engages users with libraries and improves information literacy abilities, is one of the valid innovations that librarians are constantly utilizing to engage and expand services for their patrons. It wouldn't be incorrect to argue that the development of the computer accelerated the process of digitization, much as the discovery of the wheel ushered in the mechanical age of human existence. Humans are the only animals with the innate ability to think for themselves. With the power of independent thought, humans have created a great deal of innovative technologies. One example of them is the development of the computer. The most significant development in computer technology that humans have made with the use of their intelligence is artificial intelligence. The goal of the computer science field of artificial intelligence is to build computers with human-like intelligence. Almost everywhere that computers are used, artificial intelligence is now being deployed. The need for this is growing daily, namely in the areas of science, health, automobiles, engineering, climates, business, pharmaceuticals, and academic libraries. AI must be used in libraries for both technical and library services purposes. The application of AI will expedite and improve the quality of work done in libraries, allowing them to offer a greater number of services with fewer staff members.

This movement was a response from the developer community to existing software copyright laws. Open source software is available at no cost, granting users the freedom to run and distribute it without restrictions. For small and medium-sized libraries, the cost of automating housekeeping operations with commercial Library Management Systems (ILS) can be prohibitive. However, the development of open source library management systems provides an efficient solution for automating library operations without financial investment. Notably, NewGenLib is the first integrated library management system developed in India.

After the introduction of our New Education Policy 2020, i.e., NEP 2020, the role of academic libraries in the higher education sector of India has been changed drastically; especially the role of the college libraries has to be adjusted to facilitate the aim and objectives of the NEP 2020. Under NEP 2020 a bouquet of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary subjects are offered with a thrust to the research oriented curriculum at the Under Graduate (U.G.) level. Besides the conventional class room teachinglearning process, it has prescribed for online learning and blended mode of learning also. The time duration of the U.G. courses is also changed from three years to four years system. This paper discussed about how the role and status of the college libraries in all spheres are going to be changed in this context.
