This mixed-methods study delves into English language teachers' attitudes, practices, challenges, and aspirations regarding technology integration. A combination of quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews, the study examines the perceptions and experiences of educators at varying levels of technology integration proficiency. Quantitative analyses reveal mean scores and frequencies across dimensions such as technology's role, integration challenges, perceived benefits, and impact on student engagement and learning outcomes. Qualitative provides depth and context, elucidating individual experiences, strategies, and visions for the future. Convergence and divergence between quantitative data and qualitative narratives offer nuanced understandings of technology integration in language education. The participants are 112 secondary school teachers from Kota Tangerang, Indonesia, selected randomly to ensure a diverse sample representing different levels of technology integration. Findings indicate a generally positive attitude towards technology integration among participants, tempered by challenges such as technical proficiency, resource accessibility, and pedagogical alignment. Despite obstacles, the teachers express a collective vision for technology's transformative potential in language teaching, advocating for innovation, equity, and student-centered learning. The study contributes to the ongoing discourse on technology integration in language education, offering insights for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers striving to harness the benefits of technology for enhanced language learning experiences.
This research investigates the impact of lecturers' digital literacy skills on higher education i... more This research investigates the impact of lecturers' digital literacy skills on higher education institutions. It explores how technology integration influences teaching, learning, and research while proposing strategies to enhance educational outcomes. The central issue is how lecturers' digital literacy skills directly affect higher education institutions' teaching, learning, research, and overall educational experience. Many lecturers need to improve using technology tools, resources, and platforms, which can hinder tertiary institutions' educational experience and academic outcomes. Employing a mixed-method approach and utilizing t-test analysis and two-way ANOVA, this study aligns with the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework, emphasizing the integration of technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge for effective technology use in education. The research highlights the importance of equipping lecturers with robust digital literacy skills, enabling them to integrate technology effectively into higher education. It underscores the significance of digital literacy in reshaping the educational landscape. This study contributes to advancing knowledge, information practices, and the sustainable evolution of higher education institutions in the digital age. The findings also have practical implications for tailored professional development and curriculum design. It is important to note that this study acknowledges limitations related to sample size and qualitative focus. Future longitudinal studies can enhance our understanding of the evolving landscape of digital literacy in higher education.

Moreover, we find out the lecturer's use of digital technology in the learning process and determine the reasoning relationship between the use of digital technology and cognition. Problems occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, where many lecturers needed to be stronger in digital mastering technology and low in its use. Some lecturers think that WhatsApp is online learning, where online learning requires interaction and not just sending news or subjects. Furthermore, many students feel pressured to be taught by lecturers like this, so several classes are closed because there are no students. This study used a mixed-method approach with 109 respondents. Data collection uses a questionnaire distributed through Google Forms, and the qualitative data uses interviews with eight respondents. The results show that 50.5% of respondents can use digital technology, and 49.5% must learn, practice, and receive digital technology training. Furthermore, this research implies that lecturers with critical thinking can quickly master digital technology and simultaneously teach fellow lecturers to use digital technology.

Thus, if ethical norms in research are not applied, there is falsifying, fabrication, and misrepresenting data that does not support the truth. The researcher’s responsibility seems to be lost, and the honesty of the researcher disappears. The actions of researchers or humans like that happen a lot and make research useless. This article discusses the dishonesty of researchers, third-party interference, and conflicts of interest. So, it becomes a fatal error.
