El estudio registra el conocimiento y uso de las plantas comercializadas en el mercado de Cajabam... more El estudio registra el conocimiento y uso de las plantas comercializadas en el mercado de Cajabamba, asi como el ambiente donde se desarrollan y el estado de conservacion que presentan. Se entrevist aron 60 herbolarios, registrandose 123 especies que en su mayoria son extraidas de su habitat natural. Las familias mas representativas fueron Lamiaceae y Asteraceae con 18 y 17 espec ies respectivamente. La mayoria de especies (85) fueron medicinales, indi cadas principalmente contra afecciones digestivas. Nueve especies estan incluidas en alguna categoria de conservacion de la legislacion peruana y ocho son endemicas. Se concluye que el conoci miento tradicional se conserva y es transmitido especialmente por la mujer
El presente estudio se realizo en el caserio de Cabrero, ubicado en el distrito y provincia de Ca... more El presente estudio se realizo en el caserio de Cabrero, ubicado en el distrito y provincia de Cajabamba, departamento de Cajamarca. El objetivo fue conocer las especies de mayor importancia cultural de la flora silvestre utilizada por los pobladores del caserio de Cabrero. La metodologia se baso en la realizacion de entrevistas informales (listado libre y caminatas etnobotanicas) y semiestructuradas. Para estimar la significancia cultural de las plantas se empleo el indice de Importancia Cultural propuesto por Tardio & Pardo de Santayana (2008). Se registraron 179 especies utiles distribuidas en 129 generos y 60 familias, en 267 nombres vernaculos pertenecientes a vocablos de origen introducido (47%), nativo (35%) e indeterminado (18%). Las familias con mayor numero de especies fueron Asteraceae (23%), Poaceae (6%), Fabaceae (6%) y Lamiaceae (6%). Las especies se agruparon en nueve categorias de uso, siendo la categoria Medicinal la que registro el mayor numero de especies (131) y ...
