U radu su ukratko teorijski opisane promjene u nacinu i metodama izrade rasporeda održavanja elem... more U radu su ukratko teorijski opisane promjene u nacinu i metodama izrade rasporeda održavanja elemenata elektroenergetskog sustava, prvenstveno elektrana, uslijed uvođenja otvorenog tržista elektricne energije. Razvoj procesorske snage danasnjih racunala omogucio je koristenje matematickog programiranja kao vrlo ucinkovite metode u određivanju rasporeda održavanja. U svijetu se sve vise kao metoda matematickog programiranja za optimizaciju rasporeda održavanja proizvodnih postrojenja elektroenergetskog sustava koristi Bendersova dekompozicija. Njena velika prednost pred ostalim metodama je vrlo brzi pronalazak optimalnog rasporeda zbog ucinkovitosti Bendersovog reza. U radu se opisuju razlozi uvođenja Bendersove dekompozicije, cije je djelovanje prikazano jednostavnim primjerom na kraju rada.

An increasing penetration of electric vehicles in recent years has been driven by government and ... more An increasing penetration of electric vehicles in recent years has been driven by government and municipal subsidies, tax exemptions, parking access priority, as well as by the citizens' increased environmental awareness. Electric vehicles indisputably bring benefits to their drivers and society in general, indirectly through global warming and greenhouse gas emissions mitigation and directly through financial savings and cleaner microclimate. However, integration of electric vehicle charging spots at home or work, especially fast charging stations and battery swapping stations, without prior analysis can have a negative effect on power system. In order to predict and eliminate power grid issues before they occur, a detailed analyses should be made through a common understanding of both transportation and recharging needs of electric vehicles' users and of the power grid constraints. Power and transportation system interdependency becomes of high value for correct placement and sizing of charging stations and for overall increase of social welfare. This paper analyzes electric vehicles charging needs at the basic level, through both the power system and the transportation system. An urban transmission and power grid in the vicinity of the Croatian capital Zagreb is used as a study case. Driving and electricity consumption curves are compared, locations for charging infrastructure are selected (fast charging spots and battery swapping station) and power grid's available capacity is defined.
The importance of the accurate forecasting of power outputsof wind-based generation systems is in... more The importance of the accurate forecasting of power outputsof wind-based generation systems is increasing, as their contributions to the total system generation are rising. However, wind energy resource exhibits strong and stochastic spatio-temporal variations, which further combine with the uncertainties in WF operating regimes, i.e., numbers of wind turbines in normal operation, under curtailment, or that are faulty/disconnected. This paper presents a novel approach for efficient dealing with uncertainties in hour-ahead forecasted WF power outputs. It first applies Bayesian convolutional neural network-bidirectional long short-term memory (Bayesian CNN-BiLSTM) method, which allows for a more accurate probabilistic forecasting of wind speed, air density and wind direction, using the nearby WFs as additional input data. The WF operating regimes are also predicted using the same Bayesian CNN-BiLSTM structure. Afterwards, a high-dimensional Vine-Gaussian mixture Copula model is combined with Bayesian CNN-BiLSTM model to evaluate uncertainties in the WF outputs based on a cross-correlational conditioning of the forecasted weather variables and operating regimes. The proposed combined model is applied and validated using the actual field measurements from two WF clusters in close locations in Croatia and is also benchmarked against several other models.
The experimental analysis of the electromagnetic radiation originating from WLAN devices was carr... more The experimental analysis of the electromagnetic radiation originating from WLAN devices was carried out on the laboratory topology of the WLAN, by measuring the electric field strength originating from the access point on the one hand and the WLAN client on the other. The results of the measurement show that electromagnetic radiation largely depends on the type of used service, and that the obtained values are significantly below the prescribed reference limits.

Primjereno dimenzioniranje za pouzdan rad i održavanje kvalitete cesto se može postici određenim ulaganjem u prelazak mreže na 20 kV pogonski napon. Visekriterijska metoda Analitickog hijerarhijskog procesa (AHP) može se iskoristiti za vrednovanje ulaganja u prelazak na 20 kV uz uvažavanje svih ulaznih parametara te u konacnici za utvrđivanje prioriteta prijelaza pojedinog podrucja. U referatu se opisuju neke specificnosti razvijenog AHP modela te interpretacija ulaznih podataka kroz vrednovanje važnosti razlicitih kriterija. Razvijeni AHP model primijenjen je na konkretnoj i distribucijskoj mreži te su prikazani rezultati koji ukazuju na razlicite prioritete prijelaza dijelova promatrane mreže.
More and more countries and regions are trying to develop smart city projects in order to make tr... more More and more countries and regions are trying to develop smart city projects in order to make transformation to cognitive and sensible cities and municipalities. Parallel to this process the aging of existing infrastructure also makes huge demands to public budgets regarding the need for large capital investments in reconstruction or maintenance. Latest developments in information and communication (ICT) industry created also large space for new kind of infrastructure very suitable for additional services as well as for update of existing ones. In this paper one solution of cost optimizing is described through reconstruction and expansion of public lighting systems connected with several static and dynamic ICT installations. These, existing infrastructures can be used as a basic platform where all additional IoT installations can fast and easily be done modularly and adaptively.

The workshop was attended by 40 specialists from academia, government, regulatory bodies, power industry and consultancies from both EU accession and candidate countries as well as from EU Member States. The participants actively discussed the technical, financial and regulatory challenges of the energy systems of the Western Balkans, and options of how these could be overcome. The event served as a forum for sharing and critically reflecting experience gained in Western Europe during the last decade. The workshop held in Tirana was part of the Enlargement and Integration Action. The present report summarizes the interventions of the participants, the discussions and conclusions of the workshop.
