In this paper the experiments were conducted on the machining of EN 31 die steel with graphite electrode with electrical discharge machining (EDM). The EDM oil commercial grade has been used as dielectric fluid. The effect of various EDM parameters such as discharge current, Ton and Toff has been investigated to yield the response in terms of MRR. In this work mathematical models have been developed for relating the MRR with machining parameters like discharge current, Ton, and Toff. The optimum value has been determined with the help of main effect plot and ANOVA table.

This is due to their operational and observational outcome while mitigating with a power system. The modern quality power culture requirements in terms of daily usage have been revised drastically in the recent past. The traditional systems use a non-dynamic type controller device, whereas modern power system require dynamic one. The dynamic controller are designed by using power electronic components such as SCR, MOSFET, IGBT, GTO, Power BJT etc. Due Moreover, dynamic controllers can operate in either absorbing or delivering power modes to/from a system. The modern Power Systems being dynamic can utilise reactive power to useful energy. The present work is an effort to emphasize the usefulness of reactive power in order to minimize power loss. SSSC controller of FACTS device have been utilised to estimate reactive paper usage during loading. The results were very much encouraging. The ...

Improvement in financial numbers i.e. increases in revenue, increase in profits may appear blissful for short term, but business is not a short term activity, it aims at long run endurance, growth. Only an improvement in financial statistics may be due to improved processes, but it may also be a consequence of non efficient use of resources as it is only a short term affair. The need of the time is to shift focus from short term targets to long term goals, which requires deliberate planning about the areas to be focused upon. These areas are obviously related with learning, processes, customers as these are the drivers of long term growth in a business. Learning among the organisation will give birth to perfectionism in processes. A business with precision at its heart will be able to attract large number of customers and keep them satisfied. Satisfied customers are means to increased revenue...

The subjects for this study were selected from Different Universities. A total of 15 male weight lifters belonging to 85 kilogram weight category from Indian Universities were selected. In this study, Weight lifters performance was selected as dependent variable and Anaerobic Power & Balance Abilities as independent variables. For predicting Dependent Variable (weight lifter performance belonging to 85 kilogram weight category) on the basis of Independent Variables (static balance, dynamic balance and anaerobic power), Multiple Regression Analysis was used. Weight Lifters performance (85 kilogram) =-23.134 + .322 × Anaerobic Power. Weight Lifters performance (85 kilogram) =-21.134 + .274 × Anaerobic Power + .076 × Dynamic Balance.

High sensitivity to mass change on SAW device surface was exploited to study desorption patterns in a novel way. CWA Simulants 2-chloroethyl ethyl sulfide (CEES), Methyl Salicylate (MS) and Dimethyl Methyl phosphonate (DMMP) were investigated at different concentrations. SAW device was cooled and exposed to simulant vapours resulting in physical adsorption of gas molecules on device surface and subsequently by ramp heating the device, vapours were desorbed. The change in SAW oscillation frequency, due to desorption, was monitored during the temperature ramping and desorption spectrum was obtained. Desorption spectra were statistically analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and our results indicate that all the three compounds investigated produced distinct desorption patterns independent of concentrations. Through this work we aim to develop a reliable methodology for subsequent development of a hand held TDP-SAW detector for field applications.

Through this case authors have tried to put an example before the readers that how small businesses like tours & travels demand in-depth managerial skills, lot of brainstorming, professional reformation and rational decision making. Owner of Kalra Tour & Travels, Balkishan is facing three major problems: first; demand of tours & travels has dropped down in recent years. Second; scarcity of trained drivers and due to the majority of unskilled drivers accidents are rapidly increasing. Third, the total cost is increasing and total revenue is decreasing year after year. As a result, firm was becoming financially feeble day by day and was not able to meet its financial commitments too. Yash, son of Balkishan recently joined his family business as marketing manager; he has done MBA from a premier institution. For makin...

These stores are finding it difficult to hold their customers for a long time from switching to competing retailers and develop store loyalty for their success & growth. Given this backdrop, the present study aims to examine store loyalty across leading department stores and the impact of customer demographics (age, gender, marital and income on these departmental stores. The study was undertaken in the National Capital Region of Delhi and the primary data was collected from 287 respondents, who purchased regularly in one of the five leading department stores - Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, Pantaloons, Globus, and Westside. Statistical analysis of the data was done with the help of SPSS 20 software. The key statistical tools applied were Independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA a...

Above their magnetic ordering temperatures TN, permittivity of SCTO and CLCTO follow typical Barrett form, whereas in CCTO, quantum paraelectricity is masked by the huge e′-step. Hidden QP in CCTO gets revealed by Li-doping at the Ca-site, which considerably up-shifts the temperature scale (from ∼100 K to ∼250 K) of the dielectric step-anomaly in CLCTO. Competing magneto-electricity and quantum fluctuations result in glassy-arrest of the QP degrees of freedom near TN; manifest as dispersive-deviation of the permittivity (in SCTO and CLCTO) from the low-temperature Barrett saturation. However, quantum criticality (QC) regime being well above TN registers its presence nevertheless, as the ∼T2 behaviour of their inverse dielectric susceptibility. N...

Five dimensions Tangibility, Assurance, Empathy, Responsiveness and Reliability were taken into considerations. Data has been gathered from 252 respondents by convenience and snowball sampling method from two nationalized public sector banks using online surveys and field survey within bank premises. Factor analysis, weighted average score, mean score, regression analysis were used to extract the factors and to know the level of satisfaction. 43 items were taken in the questionnaire, which were categorized into five dimensions by using the SERVQUAL model. Key findings of this empirical study includes that the factors having higher factor loading are better satisfiers. All five dimensions i.e. Tangibility, Empathy, Assurance, Reliability, Responsiveness are positively related to the Customer satisfac...
