Irrigation consumes a major portion of water demand and hence due attention is needed for improving irrigation techniques and estimating actual demand of water for irrigation. The present paper describes several moisture measurement techniques, their limitations, proposes and justifies a solution of using wireless sensor networks in working out the exact water demand in controlled irrigation. It also highlights the major constraints of WSN for the proposed solution. Keywords: Irrigation, soil moisture measurement, wireless sensor networks.

The data aggregation and then handling the data at the middleware demands an approach to integrate functionalities of various interests from diverse network clusters. So instead of a proprietary solution for individual problems, it is desirable to have a platform independent service oriented architecture. SOA

Once data goes into the cloud, owners lose control of their data, which inevitably brings new security risks toward integrity and confidentiality. These worries security and restrict the use of cloud services not so much malleable. In this paper, we also propose a similar disintegration technique for cyber defense. In general, the server is designed to perform N number of different tasks (functions). We disintegrate the suite of web services to N separate services and move them from one server and distribute among M homogeneous servers. We demonstrate design and implementation of the unidirectional, closed and Disintegrated Protocol (DIP) to achieve this.

The multi aspect analysis and visualizations help the society to come up with useful solutions and formulate policies. This paper takes the live data of current pandemic of Corona Virus and presents multi-faceted views of the data as to help the authorities and Governments to take appropriate decisions to takle this unprecedented problem. Python and its libraries along with Google Colab platform is used to get the results. The best possible techniques and combinations of modules/libraries are used to present the information related to COVID-19.

Most of the hierarchical data operation systems require gathering the data hierarchically from the lowest point of sensing to upstream towards the highest point. The data observed at all the level of hierarchy becomes indicator of the scenario at downstream of that point. The larger geographical area presents a major challenge to WSN nodes due to their transmission distance limit. This paper proposes a protocol which can be worked out for such a problem using wireless sensor networks.

The enormous data generated has to be analyzed in a uniform manner to extract maximum benefit from the data. The problem is all the sensor nets are on diverse platforms and have different data structure. Effort has been done in this paper to have a uniform sensor data structure and a registry to discover the sensors. A model is proposed with a complete stack of services for the sensor networks. The data service layer is implemented in a practical way with an experimental set up for data gathering and then its analysis by prevalent OLAP techniques with training and validation on trial basis

An effort has been made to suggest and simulate different aggregation strategies. The aggregation strategies are based on the strategies of data sensing and dissemination interval. The combined effort of cluster head and sensing nodes participate in the aggregation of data and transmit it to the sik node. The simulation is done on ns2 with hierarchical wireless sensor network topology and data packet structure of tinyos and micaz motes.

Cloud computing has emerged as a promising area to deal with participatory and collaborative data and services, and is envisaged that collaborative cloud computing WSN could be a viable solution for sharing data and services for WSN applications. In this paper, SOA based architecture has been proposed to support collaborating cloud computing in WSN. The architecture consists of layered service stack that has management, information, presentation and communication layers with all required services and repositories. Interactions between WSN, subscribers and other cloud are also presented as sequence diagrams. The proposed framework serves the cloud subscribers with wide range of queries on the data of multiple WSNs through suitable interface to solve large scale problems.
