Испитувани се квалитетните својства на семе од пет сорти мека пченица (мила, миленка, лепокласа, ... more Испитувани се квалитетните својства на семе од пет сорти мека пченица (мила, миленка, лепокласа, радика и победа), подготвено за сеидба во 2011 и 2012 година. Испитувањата се вршени на просечни примероци кои се земени од десет случајно избрани партии на семе од категоријата С1 кај сите пет сорти. Во трудот се прикажани резултатите за вкупна ‘ртност, абнормално семе, тврдо семе, свежо семе, мртво семе, маса на 1.000 зрна и содржина на влага во семето. Добиените резултати се во границите на пропишаните законски вредности и покажуваат дека семето има одличен квалитет. Вкупната ‘ртност, масата на 1.000 зрна и содржината на влага во семето имаат ниска варијабилност (0,95%, 7,60% и 10,60% како што следи). За абнормалното семе е пресметана висока варијабилност (43,02%), како и за свежото семе (31,72%), а тврдото и мртвото семе се карактеризираат со многу висока и исклучително висока варијабилност (62,76% и 132,72%). Pseudomonas species causing pith necrosis on tomato were collected from 2005 to 2012 in different... more Pseudomonas species causing pith necrosis on tomato were collected from 2005 to 2012 in different regions of the Republic of Macedonia and identified as Pseudomonas mediterranea and P. viridiflava. Other Pseudomonas spp. were also recovered, but they are still under identification. The obtained bacterial isolates were compared with reference strains on the basis of phenotypic characteristics, pathogenicity, sensitivity to antibiotics, BIOLOG tests, DNA fingerprinting by multiplex PCR using two specific primers [type I (PC5/1 and PC 5/2) and type II (PC1/1 and PC 1/2)], and 16S rRNA-RFLP analysis. Unique DNA bands from 10 representative strains isolated from symptomatic tomato plants disclosed the presence of P. mediterranea by amplification of their genomic DNA. All strains produced one specific band (600 bp) compared with the representative samples IPVCT9.1 (P. mediterranea). This study was carried out to determine the correlation between agronomic traits and seed yield o... more This study was carried out to determine the correlation between agronomic traits and seed yield of sunflower hybrids and also to determine the direct and indirect effects of analyzed traits on seed yield. The primary task in sunflower breeding programs is to increase the seed yield, as well as create new hybrids with high potential for seed and oil yield. The experiment was set up according to randomized block design during two growing seasons (2013 and 2014), on research area of the Faculty of Agriculture, “Goce Delchev” University – Shtip, in Ovche Pole locality, Republic of Macedonia. As an experimental material 20 sunflower hybrids were used. 1,000 seed weight, seed length and width, oil content, oleic acid content and seed yield were analyzed. 1,000 seed weight showed positive and significant correlation with seed width, seed length and seed yield. The recent observation of Gibberella fujikuroi (Sawada) Wollenworth (teleomorph) (anamorf: Fusari... more The recent observation of Gibberella fujikuroi (Sawada) Wollenworth (teleomorph) (anamorf: Fusarium moniliforme Sheld.) Fusarium fujikuroi Nirenberg (anamorph), F. moniliforme J. Sheld. (synonym), the causal agent of Bakanae disease in rice fields, provides an opportunity to observe the characteristics of the pathogen and the possibility of prevention in Kocani area. Plant material with Gibberella fujikuroi symptoms was collected from rice (Oryza sativa) over the period of 3 years (from 2006 to 2008). Within this study, the presence and damage caused by this pathogenic fungus were confirmed. The objective of this study was a continuous field observation of symptoms in order to establish the percentage of infection and use of laboratory methods for proper protection.

The most important rice disease is rice blast caused by Pyricularia grisea. One of the most effective means of controlling rice blast disease is the development and use of resistant rice cultivars. R. Macedonia is planning to examine vertical and horizontal resistance to Pyricularia grisea in several rice varieties from Europe and People’s Republic of China. During the first year of the project we expect to identify the pathotypes of Pyricularia grisea. Because we still do not have complete instruments for molecular examinations we expect this part of the project to be done in People’s Republic of China. During the second year we plan to study vertical (rice - specific) and horizontal (rice non-specific, field, durable) resistance of rice cultivars from Europe and People’s Republic of China in order to explore more rice resistance varieties to the pathogen Pyricularia grisea that make great damages in rice fields worldwide. The results will be very helpful for future scientific examinations and for rice growers. During the third year of the project, examinations of vertical (rice - specific) and horizontal (rice non-specific, field, durable) resistance of rice cultivars are going to be finished. We expect one researcher from our side to stay in People’s Republic of China in order to take part in genetic researches of Pyricularia grisea and to learn some new methods there.

Yield of two varieties of soyabean with short vegetation, were compared, who can be cultivated as second crops. The yield was from 1340 to 1850 kg/ha. From testing of 3 variations of the herbicides, in comparison with the control the biggest effect (95%) in year 2003, display combination of Metalachlor (1, 5l/ha) before germinate+ Bentazon (3 l/ha) in phase of 1-3 trifoliate of soyabean.
