The proposed power divider is developed to support dual bands of WLAN applications. The present power divider is formed by many transmission lines sections. The transmission lines are printed on FR4 (Flame Resistant 4) substrate of dielectric constant $\varepsilon_{\mathrm{r}}$ of3.4 with loss tangent of 0.0023. The proposed circuit exhibits good characteristics at WLAN frequencies (2.45GHz & 5.8 GHZ) in terms of return loss and isolation.

The synthesis problem discussed in this paper is to find the amplitude excitation of the antenna array elements that are optimum to provide radiation pattern with symmetric wide nulls in both sides of the main beam. The Dynamic Range Ratio (DRR) is taken into account in this study. Unlike other simple algorithms, the Modified Invasive Weeds Optimization (MIWO) uses the mutation in the calculation of standard deviation, which changes the step of search in many directions and positions, from the parent plant, to produce new seeds. This proposed algorithm improves the performance greatly and allows to achieve a maximum reduction in side lobe level in band Nulls and with an acceptable DRR value. To show the performance of the proposed method, our results are compared to other results in the literature. They are also compared to a uniform excited linear.

In this paper, a novel Blind Source Separation (BSS) approach, based on the Hybrid Firefly Particle Swarm Optimization (HFPSO), is proposed for separating mixed images. This approach processes the observed source without any prior knowledge about the model and the statistics of the source signal. The proposed method presents high robustness against local minima and converges quickly to the global minimum. Via numerical simulations, the proposed approach is tested and validated in comparison with standard Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Robust Independent Component Analysis (RobustICA), and Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithms. The obtained results show that the presented technique outperforms the existing ones in terms of quality of image separation, the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), and Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM). Moreover, the obtained results demonstra...
