The development model using Martin Tessmer's model consists of the Preliminary, Self-Evaluation, and Prototyping Stage. The method used in collecting data is a questionnaire. The instrument used in collecting data is a questionnaire. Questions and validation tests were carried out on 2 lecturers and 2 teachers. It was done collaboratively within two cycles. The aim of the research is to describe the improvement of the fourth grade students achievement on the subjects of cultural art and craft making using the method of demonstration at SDN Sindangsari in the sub-district of Bogor Utara, Bogor, in the first semester, the academic year of 2013/2014. The subjects of the research were the teacher and the students of the fourth grade. There were 32 students consisting of 15 girls and 17 boys. The research result shows that the students completion at the first cycle was 53% or only 17 students completed the task given while at the second cycle, there were 25 students completed the task given or it was 78%. User satisfaction of graduates can be measured from 7 (seven) aspects of the ability of PGSD graduate in the field. The seven aspects are integrity (ethics and morals), professionalism (expertise by field), English, information technology skills, communication, teamwork, and self-development. User satisfaction graduates produce good values in six aspects (85.7%), namely aspects of integrity, professionalism, communication, use of information technology, teamwork, and self-development. The researsh applies survey method with correlation approach. The data are obtained from the population sample of Pondok Rumput elementary school, Bogor. The result of the trial shows that parenting variable consisting of 50 items tested have 37 valid items, 13 items are not valid with realibility coefficient of 0.781. Meanwhile, emotional intelligence variable consisting of 50 items tested have 35 valid items, and 15 items are not valid with realibility coefficient of 0.804. The result of the study shows that there is correlation between emotional intelligent towards parenting based on the statistical analysis. Hence, one of the efforts to develop the students emotional intelligence is by improving parental care.Keywords: parenting, emotional intelligence.
