This migration requires the identification of microservice candidates, which requires analysis of many criteria. Existing search-based approaches to solve this problem are only based on the coupling and cohesion criteria. To overcome these limitations, we propose a many-objective search-based approach for identifying microservice candidates. Its five objectives correspond to criteria pointed as useful by experienced developers. Our approach was evaluated in the context of a legacy system. The results show that our approach is very similar on optimizing the traditional criteria of coupling and cohesion, but much better when taking into account the additional criteria.

Microservices is an emerging industrial technique to promote better modularization and management... more Microservices is an emerging industrial technique to promote better modularization and management of small and autonomous services. Microservice architecture is widely used to overcome the limitations of monolithic legacy systems, such as limited maintainability and reusability. Migration to a microservice architecture is increasingly becoming the focus of academic research. However, there is little knowledge on how microservices are extracted from legacy systems in practice. Among these limitations, there is a lack of understanding if variability is considered useful along the microservice extraction from a configurable system. In order to address this gap, we performed an exploratory study composed of two phases. Firstly, we conducted an online survey with 26 specialists that contributed to the migration of existing systems to a microservice architecture. Secondly, we performed individual interviews with seven survey participants. A subset of the participants (13 out of 26) dealt with systems with variability during the extraction, which stated that variability is a key criterion for structuring the microservices. Moreover, variability in the legacy system is usually implemented with simple mechanisms. Finally, initial evidence points out that microservices extraction can increase software customization.

This enzyme is also found in erythrocyte, as 160 kDa dimer that anchors to the plasma membrane via glycophosphatidylinositol. The function of this enzyme in erythrocytes has not yet been elucidated; however, it is suspected to participate in cell-to-cell interactions. Here, a review on erythrocyte AChE characteristics and use as biomarker for organophosphorus and carbamate insecticides is presented since it is the first specific target/barrier of the action of these pesticides, besides plasma butyrylcholinesterase (BChE). However, some past and current methods have disadvantages: (a) not discriminating the activities of AChE and BChE; (b) low accuracy due to interference of hemoglobi...

The few available studies is disperse and are not sufficient to accurate predictions of genetic determinant or regulation on the large diversity recently observed in our laboratory. With a microarray-based transcript we accessed the diversity of sucrose/starch conversion in sugary and pigmented cassava. A cDNA chip developed for Euphorbiacea family, based on two species (leaf spurge and cassava), was used. Out of 161 transcripts, differentially expressed among 9 representative accessions, we identified unique sub set of transcripts related to pigmented, sugary, commercial and Colombian landraces. Network of regulatory genes identified putative biological pathways that differentiate pigmented and sugary cassava from commercial cassava. Mining genes related to metabolic pathways for starch and carotenoid revealed that genes coding for enzymes in starch degradation was upregula...

Many population studies have found a significant relationship between depression and the presence of cognitive disorders. OBJECTIVE: To establish the correlation between the Visual Analogue Scale of Happiness and the Cornell Scale for Depression in Dementia in the population aged 60 years or over in the city of Tremembé, state of São Paulo, Brazil. METHODS: An epidemiological survey involving home visits was carried out in the city of Tremembé. The sample was randomly selected by drawing 20% of the population aged 60 years or older from each of the city's census sectors. In this single-phase study, the assessment included clinical history, physical and neurological examination, cognitive evaluation, and application of both the Cornell Scale and the Analogue Scale of Happiness for psychiatric symptoms. The presence of depressive symptoms was defined as scores greater than or equal to 8 points on the Cornell Scale. RESULTS: A to...

No experimento II (22 a 42 dias), n...

The optimum temperature and stability over a 120 min period were found to be at 55°C and at 35–45°C, respectively. The proteases’ activity was not affected by a 1 vol. % saponin surfactant, inactivated by 0.01 g mL−1 sodium dodecylsulphate after 120 min, and it remained stable for 30 min in a 5 vol. % and 10 vol. % hydrogen peroxide solutions. The proteases were slightly activated by Ca2+, Mg2+, and K+ and the substrate most effectively hydrolysed was casein (40.0 U mg−1). A 24 full factorial design used to evaluated the influence of independent variables showed that the enzyme extract, detergent concentration and the incubation time had a significant influence on the enzymatic activity. The best conditions to be used concerning ...

Preliminaries are presented followed by proofs of main theorems on simple and asymptotic stability. Some particular cases which have been studied by others authors with more restrictive hypotheses and more elaborated methods are showed as illustrative examples enhancing the advantages of the dichotomic maps approach.
