What's Gilead, the Iowa town where Marilynne Robinson set her last three novels? For its undistinguished appearance, it is linked to Galilee, for its name of Bible origin it recalls prophecy and healing balm. Among the various characters we meet, has always lived there reverend Ames, comes back the prodigal son Jack, arrives the wandering Lila – the three main characters in Gilead, Home and Lila. Robinson tells their stories, interwoven in such a rural and insignificant Gilead, which seen by the different telling voices becomes home, father's home, Kingdom of God. Gilead is also microcosm of American land, for the presence of many religious denominations, further to the atheism and scepticism options. Moreover Gilead is home of visionary prophets, who can see beyond what appears to the eye, and then contemplate it. Gilead gives, for little or longer time, the comfort of its balm to those scattered arriving there from their hard lives. In the end Gilead heals wounds and prepares its flowered gardens waiting for resurrection.

Gilead gives, for little or longer time, the comfort of its balm to those scattered arriving there from their hard lives. In the end Gilead heals wounds and prepares its flowered gardens waiting for resurrection.
linguaggio letterario.
Summary – The Christ according to Bobin
Christian Bobin, French writer of poetical and narrative texts where are
condensed his existential and spiritual research, seems to assume the
proposal of literary theology of Jean-Pierre Jossua focused on a theology
based on experience and strenghten by the expressive means of literary
