However, extant research provides conflicting evidence for the impact of environmental performance on organizational performance. Using data from the “Climate Leaders program,” we examine the relationships between the different measures of environmental performance and organizational performance. The result suggests that indirect emissions (rather than direct emissions and optional emissions tracking) has a significant relationship with organizational performance. Further, waste tracking, while not significantly associated with profitability, has a significant negative relationship with operational performance. These results delineate the difficulty in linking environment performance to organizational performance. Organizations seeking to validate the environmental performance - organizational performance linkage should perhaps focus more attention on reducing indirect emissions. We integrate the Natural Resource Based View and the materiality perspective. Our findings reveal that prevailing industry practices such as reverse logistics, product recycling, improving the environmental performance of suppliers are not deemed to be material by Indian firms. Instead, the focus is on resource efficiency, reducing the carbon footprint, supplier integration, and improving the work conditions at the suppliers’ sites. This leads to some tentative theoretical conclusions and implications for green supply chain management and the sustainable operations domain.

In this paper, entrepreneurship education development is explored, and important implications for the further improvement of entrepreneurship education are provided. Design/methodology/approach This study is based on the comparative education research method and proceeds in four steps (i.e. description, interpretation, juxtaposition, and comparison). The U-BEE items are applied to exemplify the similarities and differences of the process by which entrepreneurship education developed in two universities each in Singapore (National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University) and Taiwan (National Taiwan University and National Tsing Hua University). Findings From the country-based standp...

Integrating the economic, environmental, and social dimensions of sustainable development, this paper presents a new evaluation system for the location selection of a CLC from a sustainability perspective. A fuzzy multi-attribute group decision making (FMAGDM) technique based on a linguistic 2-tuple is used to evaluate potential alternative CLC locations. In this method, the linguistic evaluation values of all the evaluation criteria are transformed into linguistic 2-tuples. A new 2-tuple hybrid ordered weighted averaging (THOWA) operator is presented to aggregate the overall evaluation values of all experts into a collective evaluation value for each alternative, which is then used to rank and select alternative CLC locations. An application example is provided to validate the method developed and to highlight the implementation, practicality, and effectiveness by comparing with the fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method.

Quality improvement teams have been formed to improve the repair and maintenance turntimes of the blade section of aircraft engine turbines. Preliminary results are encouraging. Maintenance turntimes and rework rates of the blade section have reduced markedly. Besides the tangible benefits of realizing project objectives, observes intangible benefits such
