The interaction of the complexes with DNA and bovine serum albumin (BSA) was investigated. Molecular docking and molecular dynamic simulation methods were also used for modeling the binding of the complexes to DNA and BSA and good agreements were found between the experimental and theoretical results. All the results suggest that the interaction mode between the complexes and DNA was major groove binding. The quenching mechanism of the BSA fluorescence by the complexes is a static quenching. Gel electrophoresis assay demonstrates the ability of the complexes to cleave the supercoiled plasmid DNA (pUC57 plasmid DNA).

The neurotrophins are required for repair of neural tissues. However, it is not evident whether these cells supply the sufficient amounts of the functional growth factors following neuronal differentiation. This study investigates the expression of NGF, BDNF and their processing enzymes Prohormone convertases (PC) Furin, PC5 and PC6 by Real-time RT-PCR during neural differentiation of rat BMSC. The results showed that all inspected processing enzymes are expressed in the cells. The expression of NGF, BDNF and PC5 decreases following differentiation. In addition, BMSCs express Survivin, an anti-apoptotic gene; however, the differentiated cells reduce its expression similar to two neurotrophins, which could make them susceptible to apoptotic death.

In this paper, an inexpensive 3D hierarchical ZnCo2O4 with flower-like morphology on nickel foam has been synthesized by a one-step hydrothermal method. X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and Raman spectroscopy confirm the successful synthesis of ZnCo2O4. Also, the porosity is evaluated with Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) and morphology studied by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results of the electrochemical tests indicate the good capability of this electrode to be used in asymmetric supercapacitors. It is tempting to using this electrode by the specific capacitance of about 572 F/g at the scan rate of 10 mV/s and very good stability (94% after 5000 cycles). Also, the discharge time of this electrode at a current density of 0.5 A/g was about 380 s, which is a relatively acceptable time. This electrode with special architectures recommends for using high-performance asymmetric supercapacitors.

However, TQ has a hydrophobic nature, and because of that, its solubility, permeability and its bioavailability in biological mediums are poor. To diminish these drawbacks, we have designed a herbal carrier composed of Ergosterol (herbal lipid), Carum carvil extract (Carum) and nonionic surfactants for herbal cancer treatment. C. carvil was extracted and characterized by GC/Mass. Two different formulations containing TQ and Carum were encapsulated into niosomes (Nio/TQ and Nio/Carum, respectively) and their properties were compared together. Morphology, size, zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency (EE%), profile release rate, in vitro cytotoxicity, flow cytometric, DNA fragmentation and cell migration assay of formulations were evaluated. Results show that both loaded formulations have a spherical morphology, nanometric size and negat...
