The main objective is to prepare the students transition from school to the active life for 3840 students through the creation of an integrated inter-regional network of simulated virtual companies, in which they will develop their professional capabilities. Our research is focused on the halfway evaluation of the results through survey method. The results obtained showed that the project`s milestones were fulfilled. Over 80% of respondents considered that information received during their participation to project activities was useful in preparing their future careers.

The globalisation represents a higher stage of the historical process of the internationalization, evolving under the conditions of the international affirmation of the economic agents -firms, states, economic entities – and of some supported regional integration processes. A thesis which is widely shared posits the idea that the globalisation is vigorously promoted and those who take advantage first are the great corporates, before the transnational companies. In this work, we try to identify the effects of the globalisation – in fact of what we might call the triple revolution with impact upon the global economy – upon the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, and the way in which the SMEs have adapted to th...

In this context, we emphasize the fact that the new location models, based on a geographic information system and the Big Data analysis instruments, open new opportunities for the practical location decision based on a larger set of criteria and by taking the market dynamics into account. The paper has the following objectives: to study the theoretical basis of location models, i.e. of the criteria (the variables) used and to compare them with the criteria used currently in decision-making practice. The study is based on qualitative research investigating the opinions of decision -makers in the area of distribution regarding the location strategy of new stores. The research findings confirm the existence of differences between the criteria retained by location models and the practice of distri...

Each of these ways places its unique demands on the company in terms of organizational and financial resources. Most of the times, entering international markets is not a matter of choice but of necessity to remain competitive in new or established markets. Our paper is going to analyze the possibilities that a company has when entering a foreign market, decision that is very important and which involves market assessment and analysis.

Conflict is experienced at all levels of human activity from the intra-personal to the international. Although many people and cultures regard conflict as a negative experience, it need not be. Conflicts are complex processes. However, there are certain basic elements of structure and process which conflict situations have in common. One way of conceptualising the relationship between these elements is a triangle with Attitudes, Behaviours and Structure at the points. While conflict is universal, the ways in which it is expressed and handled are not. Each specific cultural framework has its own conception of conflict and techniques and processes for managing and resolving it.

Another factor favoring centralization of storage is the economic crisis that has forced the need for efficient activity by making decisions on reducing costs. The first part of this paper focuses on literature review and presentation of the most important decision-making models developed in the field of logistics. Several models were selected and analyzed in detail to build a modern research methodology, based on precise mathematical calculations. In the decision making process of selecting an optimal location for a central warehouse, we used a series of mathematical models to identify the exact geographical position, which induces minimal cost for transportation to consumption points. In the second part of the paper, the article aims to identify the optimal location for a central warehouse in Romania. In this methodology, we chose 100 cities...

The content of the work we have addressed some key elements for implementation of risk management in electronic data transmission operations of legal persons and / or individuals using the Internet, from the few elements that disrupt the activities of information such as computer viruses or attacks. An important part presents the necessity and effects of operations on the Internet standardization, the use of digital certificates and electronic signatures by default.

This process rises new challenges for the protection of consumer rights. This paper aims to examine consumers' awareness of the rights stipulated in the existing legislation at Community and national level. To achieve this objective, a survey was conducted on a sample of 250 persons in the age group 18-30 in Bucharest, results show the need for information campaigns for consumers on their rights campaigns aimed at awareness knowledge of their consumer rights.

In this research, we take a global approach and investigate the impact of a country’s exports importance at a macroeconomic level for its economic growth through the Linear mixed-effects method(LMM). We include 186 countries in our analysis and find that generally there is statistically significant evidence that the level of aggregate exports affects economic growth, but this relationship is both time and country specific. Thus, although countries that employ policies to encourage exports experience higher economic growth, on average, this positive relationship is stronger in some countries than in others, and even absent or negative in some instances. For a more thorough analysis, we also identify the group of developed G7 countries and that of developing CEE economies and estimate the relationshi...

The empirical research is aimed at presenting and analysing statistics regarding the performance of Romanian SMEs in relation to the average of overall EU SMEs. The purpose of this paper is to analyse the activity and performance of Romanian SMEs in relation with SMEs from other European countries. A set of concrete recommendations are formulated for creating a better economic and legal environment for small and medium enterprises from Romania that have set the objective of extending on other European markets or are in the process of internationalization of their business.

The traditional approaches for teaching international business in universities is focused on sharing knowledge and as far as creating student competencies, the educational method is mainly static. The purpose of this article is to analyze a relative new learning method, which can be applied in the area of international economic environment and consists of using business simulation as a dynamic component of the educational process. We aim to present our researches regarding the use of this method in universities and focus on a case study of how this method was implemented in The Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies. Using the data collected from participants in an internship project, which was based on business simulation in virtual enterprises, we will decide upon the benefits of applying this educational method in universities

Romaniaâ€(tm)s real estate sector passed through significant milestones during the last years -due to economic boom, integration in the European Union and affordable financing. But after the 2007 subprime crisis and the 2010 European sovereign debt crisis new ways of approaching the market have to be designed and implemented. The M&A transactions seem to be an investment driver in Romanian real estate as proven by Immofinanz /Adama Case Study

Companies are attracted by favorable key locations in view of lowering production costs and increasing profit margins. Such international communication process can often fail because the local counterparts have taken more time to learn how to overcome the obstacles normally associated with international/crosscultural negotiations. Failure may occur because of time and/or cost constraints. Thus, it is very important to take into account cross cultural aspects in doing business abroad. This paper, on the one hand, highlights the specificities of international business negotiations and, on the other hand, stressed the impact of cultures in doing business overseas. The goal of the paper is therefore twofold. First, to give an understanding of the roots of negotiating, what it really consists of, and then to provide some cross cu...
