Emitter etching conditions as a function of etch mask geometry and process conditions were systematically investigated. For optimized uniformity, aspect ratios of >10 were achieved, with 25.5 nm-radius tips realised for masks consisting of aperture arrays some 4.45 μm in diameter and whose field electron emission performance has been herein assessed.

A fundamental requirement is low formation temperature of the semiconducting channel for flexible substrate compatibility. Amorphous In-Ga-Zn-O ( -IGZO) TFTs are promising for next-generation microelectronic devices because they exhibit good performance compared to amorphous silicon TFTs and are plastic compatible, and have been extensively developed for flat-panel display.

This work finds that adsorbates and amorphous carbon deposited during the growth process are the primary contributors to field emission instability and shows that burning off the amorphous carbon in air

This would enable driver electronics to be integrated onto cheap flexible AMLCD panel. In this study microcrystalline silicon was deposited by Electron Cyclotron Resonance Plasma Enhanced chemical Vapour Deposition (ECR-PECVD) at a temperature of 80°C, compatible with most plastic such as PET and PEN. A source gas mixture of SiH4 and H2 was employed. The structural and optical properties of samples deposited under a range of deposition conditions were measured.

Physicians were first instructed to determine whether the AFib was secondary to another important diagnosis, such as sepsis or pulmonary embolism. (These patients were admitted to hospital). Among the patients with primary AFib, physicians assessed for four high-risk criteria: hemodynamic instability, acute heart failure, syncope, and acute coronary syndrome. Patients with no high-risk criteria were managed with either rate or rhythm control and then discharged home with close outpatient follow-up. The admission rate for AFib patients fell from 80% in the before period to 67% after, with no change in emergency department return visits. This article is protected by copyright. However, under gate bias a-Si:H TFTs suffer from instability, as is evidenced by a shift in the gate threshold voltage. The shift in the gate threshold voltage is generally measured from the gate transfer characteristics, after subjecting the TFT to prolonged gate bias. However, a major drawback of this measurement method is that it cannot distinguish whether the shift is caused by the change in the midgap states in the a-Si:H channel or by charge trapping in the gate insulator. In view of this, we have developed a capacitance-voltage (C-V) method to measure the shift in threshold voltage. We employ Metal-Insulator-Semiconductor (MIS) structures to investigate the threshold voltage shift as they are simpler to fabricate than TFTs. We have investigated a large of number Metal/a-Si:H...
