Findings reveled that there is a significant difference between the amount of loan applied for and the amount disbursed by the microfinance banks to the cooperative farmers. That notwithstanding, the performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria is reported in the literature to be very low in terms of survival rate and contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) despite government intervention. Against this backdrop, this study investigates the effect of financial intermediation on small and medium enterprises performance in Nigeria using an econometric model of the Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Findings reveal that with the exception of bank interest rate to SMEs, all other variables - financial intermediation, commercial bank loans and advances to SMEs, bank lending rate to SMEs, exchange rate and monetary policy - have a positive and significant influence on small and medium enterprises performance in Nigeria. In the literature of ICT, its adoption as proxied by transaction over the internet has significantly improved the performance and productivity of SMEs. However, ICT adoption by SMEs in Nigeria has been reported to be comparatively low. This study therefore examines the Determinants of ICT Adoption for Improved SME's Performance in Anambra State, Nigeria. The study provides empirical evidence on levels of awareness and adoption patterns of ICT facilities among SMEs; it evaluates factors influencing ICT adoption in the SME sector; and also assesses the impact of ICT adoption on SMEs performance. The motivation of this study is the observed increase of motorcycle spares parts private labels (... more The motivation of this study is the observed increase of motorcycle spares parts private labels (PLs) in the southeast Nigeria, therefore warranting empirical probing to identify success factors and major challenges to motorcycle spare parts PL in Nigeria. The study is guided by three objectives and three hypotheses formulated to address the objective. Four point likert scale questionnaire was designed and primary data were drawn from 23 PL managers or owners at Nnewi, Southeast Nigeria. Principal component analysis and tstatistics were adopted for data reduction and for hypothesis testing respectively. The major finding of this study is that to gain control is the major reason for development of private label; self-gratification is the key success factor of PLs; and piracy or absences of regulation is the main challenge of PLs survival. This study examines factors influencing customers’ patronage of fast food restaurants: A study of... more This study examines factors influencing customers’ patronage of fast food restaurants: A study of selected customers of fast food in Anambra state, Nigeria. Data collected were analysed using descriptive statistics and the linear regression model. Findings revealed that service quality, atmospheric quality, perceived value, environment, consumer demographics and modernity are significant factors influencing the behaviour of customers towards patronising the fast food restaurants. To attract more patronage, the study recommends that fast food restaurants operating in Anambra state, Nigeria should endeavour to improve on their Service Quality, Atmospheric Quality, Perceived Value, Environment, Consumer Demographics and Modernity.
